That is no excuse for losing. There was not much direct play from France whatsoever especially after Mbappe went off.
It was a mistake to substitute Mbappe, he was making things happen and looked the best player on the pitch. Giroud probably would have scored had he come off the bench.

Not sure but I didn't see the logic in taking Giroud off, only to start punting in loads of crosses.
No that's on the players, between Pogba who tries to shoot at every half opportunity and Kurzawa shutting down his brain, it's on the players. I don't really agree or understand the starting lineup particularly Giroud who was lazy against Netherland and lazier tonight but the players had plenty of opportunities that they failed to take because of stupid decisions and general greediness.
Been telling that for ages, France is wasting all that talent with him in the helm.
Time for Deschamps to go. His defensive football with all that attacking talent is depressing. The sight of the French players passing it around in midfield with seconds left on the clock was hilarious.

Didn't understand their negative approach. They gave us a good match in the Euro's just focusing on football, today they played like they had 11 Bruno Alves in his Porto prime.
Giroud is best as a super sub. He is a very useful footballer but only as a sub. Deschamps is a very average coach who is managing some of the best players.
