Rashford lost the ball but I don't exactly think he did much wrong. I'm not just saying that because he's a United player either. Slovakia pretty much had to bypass the entire defence still, which they did with exquisite perfection, putting the ball into the onion bag with some aplomb indeed.

Tougher group but Rooney, Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard and Lampard were among the best in the world at that time.
In the current team I'd say only Kane comes close and he's not a patch on '08 Rooney.
Dier, Henderson, Kane, Alli, Jones, Cahill all very much system players. Problem is we don't have one,we have no idea how to get the best out of them and the quality isn't the same as other nations. These players to thrive in this way need to be supplemented by top quality not be expected to be the main quality. They just don't possess that. We have no method of playing and not enough quality in essence to make up for that.
