World Cup 2018 Qualifiers

Cahill has won everything in football and yet I can't help but think he's the single biggest beneficiary from Chelsea's style of play in recent years and choice of mangers Jose/Conte. Regularly makes a tit of himself.

Alli is a fantastic finisher and in the box player, but he's not a creator himself. It seems Southgate wants him to do that though, and it's horrible to watch.

Just a fecking waste of talent - so basically service as normal for England.

This England side is very average yet again. Defensively looks very suspect, mediocre in central midfield and the attack has alot of directness but not much subtlety and brain. Shame really because you can tell they're trying to progress our style of play from the times of Woy etc but the real quality just isn't quite there to pull it off.

On the plus side, it is a team well set for the counter attack against better teams as their is shit tonnes of pace in this squad and if Kane settles into same form he is in for Spurs, they could be scary to face for a side which dominates possession. The defence needs a lot of work though.

Sometimes I think we need to be in more tough qualifying groups. Might be better preparation for the Euros or World cup competitions.

That Lallana 95th minute winner in Solvakia is looking like a huge goal. Scotland also bottled their home game vs England, it could have easily been a lot worse.

Hoddle saying it was a great covering tackle...... until the replay showed he didn't get any of the ball.

Usual crap from Hoddle .... a SH!T commentator.

And thats just after claiming Rashford's corner leading to the goal was poor, he didn't mean it for Dier and it was amazing of Dier to make something of it

Werner is the €100M man nobody is talking about. 21 years old. 23G/8A in 33 games for RBL. 6 goals in 7 1/2 games for Germany.

Jesus, you look horrible. Some of the players seem like they're not even bothered.

I'm glad they've picked up the idiocy of Walkers run for thier goal.

No reason for panic to England fans, Slovakia only will score if England makes another defensive mistake or from a set piece, they already were looking under pressure after the first 25 minutes.

at least we wont qualify and save ourselves the humiliation of going out at the group stages.
There is that as well:D

I just think with a manageable group the players just take it for granted that we'll qualify because let's face it, we really should from these groups. I just don't think it's a good thing for these players as as soon as they play someone decent in the tournament they go to shit.

Xavi and Casillas were pals from childhood and helped keep the squad unified.

Spain have suffered since their retirement.

Check and mate. Good day.

What are you talking about suffered?

They weren't always going to dominate you know. Of course they going to suffer because they lost so many key players to retirement.

So check and mate. Good day to you goat.

Yup. What we need is a playmaker next to Dier in midfield, not Henderson and his Shaggy from Skooby Doo style running doing feck all for 90 minutes.

He has no idea on how to set up a system for his players. It's literally like he's looked on Fifa and had a gander at the positions and thought right he's listed as Cam must mean he can link the play. These two are listed as can play Rm/lm oo what a splendid idea I can get them to switch flanks what a tactical genius I am!!

fecking jobs for the boys bullshit and we're going to be embarrassed in Russia.

its simple.
build a Team. not put a bunch of players together and say Play.

we have Southgate as manager. Says it all.

They haven't been as unified or clear with their approach.

They have only lost Xavi to retirement. They have underperformed at every tournament since 2012. Del Bosque did not adapt to an ever changing game.

So eat a hat and get on your bike, bud.

Alli and Kane (albeit has a good goal return) are rotten for England. Probably a product of good coaching vs bad coaching.

Our midfield is genuinely woeful. One of Henderson and Dier will do. Instead, we need a player that can distribute the ball at a higher level. Wilshere and Barkley are looking like pipe dreams, and there's very little alternative at present.

Actually it may sound ridiculous but Allardyce would make this team tactically organized, at least in terms of defensive organization, scoring from set pieces, also on counter attack.

We've had this problem for years now, and we still haven't learnt our lesson (sigh).
