When it comes to football Croatia had always players with that national thing ready to play for your country, our cnuts when you mention Serbian national team, they think about vocation, walking on the pitch, getting out drinking on river boats ( i dont know how to say fecking "splavovi" on English, float, raft w/e) etc.

I think 1 or 2 players were overconfident, and then Tomislav Ivkovic who played at my club and who knows our mentality also said to your press it was impossible for us to beat Croatia, maybe Santos faked the quotes to motivate our players, you never know.

I think it is tough for you atm. Lost today and lost the basketball and the waterpolo final in 2 months.
They're completely lacking in world-class players these days, just thinking back to 10-15 years ago when you have the likes of Totti, Del Piero, Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Vieri, Inzaghi, prime Buffon etc. How many truly top class players do they have these days? Probably 1 outside of the back 3 in Verratti and that's it.
Biggest problem is Ventura, they have better players now than they had under Conte last Euros.

Spain's midfield options are ridiculous. They have about 5-6 midfielders at least who would probably walk in to England's starting midfield yet can't get near the squad at the moment.
We would be fantastic. He would love to work with those players and them with him. I mean our coach doesn't have any authority and that kind of coach needs to instruct Modrić, Rakitić, Mandžukić how to play and what.. Seriously..
Not worried about those two. When it comes to football i rather watch those younger ones, who took part in winning WC, sadly doubt anyone of those can even get a sniff vs those senior ones who did feck all when it comes national team, thats even not mentioning names of players being called vs someone like Milnekovic- Savic, who "doesnt fit a system".

Level of our coaches is we don't have at least one decent coach. Maybe Tudor in Galatasaray is decent but that's about it. Most of them are horrible.

We have a different problem in Portugal, good level of coaches but all of them don't want to work at NT level, they want to work at club football, I would like to see Mourinho coaching us in 2020.

Mourinho coaching us in a World Cup is bound to happen at some point and it's definitely going to be interesting as I think he's perfectly suited to knockout football. His record in finals is incredible and he knows how to prepare his teams for those kind of games. I don't think it will happen as soon as 2020 though.

Of all possible outcomes in group I tonight Iceland being on the verge of automatic qualification was the one I expected the least. What an achievement in a very tough group where three teams were supposed to finish ahead.
And in 1982 everyone thought Italy was the worst team at the WC with no chance of getting out of the group stages. Even when they had got out of the group stages everybody was tipping them to get dumped in the next game.
A manager who uses Parolo and Gagliardini in the middle should get the sack immediately.
