World Cup Qualifiers | October 2017 | Play off draw on Tuesday

Overall so few goals so far. Not sure what to watch. I will stick with Wales vs Ireland, but it doesn't feel like they will push for the win early. Wales have been poor and seem far too defensive. Ireland I think have a more sensible tactic although they are not creating much at all anyway.

I think we could see there was good things to come from him, especially as good players were coming in. His and indeed Ireland's glory days for a good while was definitely 2002. That said, it may have worked out well but we only have the benefit of hindsight.:D

Got to be impressed by Iceland no doubt. They did so well in the euros and now look like they will qualify for the world cup. Amazing stuff from them!
 
I just read that, if it stays like this, we will play two more games because Wales have more yellow cards. Jeeez. Are they kidding? Probably not. WTH have those bastards do to out NT? F***ing hell!!!
 
BTW, in one half across nine different games, there have three goals scored.

I struggle to see what the feck is Rakitic doing on the field. Well, most of them but he really stands out.
 
Score draw 2-2 for Croatia and 0-0 for Wales would mean Croatia above on goals scored, as things stand +2 for both but Wales on more scored goals.

So Martin ONeills tactics are to frustrate Wales who don't need to win the game but Ireland do need to win the game.

Their plan is to be very defensive and hope to nick a goal from a set piece or from one of their constant hoofs up front.

It's terrible to watch, but it's served o'neil well in his career I suppose.

Wales have started 2nd half strong though.
 
A world cup without the irish fans is not worth following
