Holland used to be so good, but now they're a largely irrevalent. Other than an aging Robben, there isn't really a star in that team. Strange how generations differ. They once had players like Van Persie, Makele, Davids, Seedorf etc, etc, and now when Robben stops, which he probably will after this game, their best players will be what? Blind and Van Dijk?

However in the defense van Dijk - de Vrij isnt a bad central defense. Wijnaldum and Blind arent bad players and neither is Strootman (although Wijnaldum is always bad for the Dutch team and so has Strootman been recently).
Janssen, Babel, Dost, Memphis and Berghuis are all painfully average (or even below average)
It must be painful for Robben, one of the best attacking players of his generations. Won it all with his clubs which include Chelsea, Madrid and Bayern and now has to play with these players instead of world class players...
Holland/ sweden situation is a lesson to all teams in future. When you play with weak teams , trash them. Don't stop after 2-0, 3-0.

Holland missed WC 2002 with Davids, Seedorf, De Boer, Overmars, Zenden, Kluivert, Makaay, Van bommel etc.

Because he has earned Santos trust and has been pretty reliable, specially in the Euro 2016 final. He's been unfortunate tonight but i still prefer him to Semedo. Btw Semedo wasn't specially good against Andorra, so Santos took the obvious decision.
