Well like I said, if you own a Business it's different, you're protecting your investment. I personally don't agree with the mass shutting down (partially because it creates the tension you're talking about - and my ends are shut down too) though I can see the reasons behind it and completely respect those peoples decisions...
But I've had people texting me all day and sending me facebooks asking if i'm alright...there are people praying for London on twitter and people in this thread saying "get out, it's really dangerous in London"...IMO, on ground level, it's not really. It is if you're going out in the middle of the night or you live above a T Mobile, but otherwise, it's pretty much fine here. Fear is a state of mind. etc etc ..

This was my high street this morning...Most shops didn't have windows in them to get cracked anymore.
These kind of things happen every few years in different places all over Europe..Not specifically like this, and that's actually good, because there's no politics in this particularly..It's opportunism. It's not going to go on indefinitely and so far (where I am in Clapham & Brixton to be fair) no ones been attacked. It'll die down in a few days, people will be arrested, and everyone will look back on it as a completely stupid couple of days.
I dunno, maybe I'm odd, but I'm really not that worried.

Maybe, the state is quite strong though, if it does happen every summer they'll start coming down harder and shooting people, and then it will go back to every few decades like usual. Unless there is an actual revolution at some point, or some proper wealth redistribution.
