Striker, was it you or Nistelrooy10 who wanted to throw out Carrick and play Pogba somewhere during the last season?
I think it was you.
If thats the case he can go. What has he done to earn more?
No he can't - that is one player we simply can not lose. He is special - and if we pay him £15k or £30k - it don't matter. The majority of our young players make £40-50k when they get renews contracts - and true, he hasn't got that far yet, but he will have within 2 seasons.
Give him what he wants (within reason - anything up to £40-50k - still worth it)

I'm not reading too much into what these papers are saying. Pogba is supposed to be a sound guy and the fact that we bring him on in the CC tells me that the situation probably isn't as bad as made out.
'throwing carrick out and play pogba somewhere during last season'.... yeah did i word it like that....
I wanted Carrick to step up because of a lack of quality in midfield and because he's our experienced midfielder. He was not playing well. He wasn't strong I did not say chuck Pogba in last season. What I said as an example with Pogba, I believe him..Morrison..and maybe one or two others will come good because I think they have the mentality on top of talent. When they're on the pitch. You making this post is meant to be what? Did fletcher impress you in his first 50 games let alone 70 minutes...But you give the kids a chance now and then and very often they impress. If you are judging a kids level based on 2/3 games...some tough games, certainly when others have not performed, then that's your problem.
Sir Alex, pointed out the kids were let down by the experienced players. Pogba, Morrison are not the finished article but they do have talent, they are already United players and they have a real chance. Here's a thought, find this season where i've said to drop Michael Carrick. How about that? Actually this season, especially recently i've said ok Carrick with Cleverly and Anderson/fletcher or a Morrison/Pogba etc....not that i get to chose but i've acknowledged he's done better. It's worse when people don't acknowledge a player is playing shite and accept it.
Thank feck you're not in charge of anything at a football club. "Special player? Just write a number on this dotted line and we'll pay you that.". If you pay Pogba what he wants then Morrison will probably want something very close to it. Then some other youngsters will want more as well, because they get so little compared to Pogba. Then you'll have first team players wanting more. I don't think you realise what it means giving a big contract to a player who hasn't really done anything yet.
It doesn't matter where he'll be in two years. United are usually very good at rewarding players breaking through (such as Hernandez who got a new contract after his first season), so there's no point paying him way over the top just "because he's special". If the reported £45k per week is true he can honestly feck off to City, or whoever will pay that sort of wages for an unproven youngster. He's a special talent and I'd love to see him make it at United, but if he truly believes he's worth £45k per week now I don't want to wait and see what his request is if he actually becomes a first team player.
I don't really believe all this talk about his contract anyway. Just paper talk and since Pogba is a highly rated United youngster it's fun to write stories saying that he might move to City. His agent probably has a lot to do with it as well.
I really hope he goes if this report is true. No place for players like him at this club, he can go to City, feck him.
So what ? We have a few special talents at this club - and we can't afford to let them go. Paying 2 of the most talented players in the country £40k really isnt that much.
And if someone else come knocking at the door demanding as much - well why shouldn't there be a difference ? Pogba and Morrison are more talented than the other players at the club - and clubs will line up to take them if we don't keep them.

His head has probably been turned, one of the best young players in Europe, It's safe to say his heads been turned.

Paying a totally unproven player £40k a week would be inane, before you even consider the knock on effect to squad players. We have no idea whether Morrison/Pogba will be good first team players yet, let alone great players.
In terms of "one of the best young players in Europe", how the hell do you know that? He has played a part in two football games. At his age the likes of Pato, Wilshere, Ballotelli, Ronaldo, Anderson, Gotze, Bojan* were all getting first team appearances quite regularly at top teams. He is years behind these players, which isn't at all a slight on his talent, as different people develop at different speeds, but to say he's one of the best in Europe is delusional.
*Look where he is at the moment
I don't know where this 40k a week thing comes from. I doubt the Da Silva's or even Jonny Evans are on anything like that and I very much doubt Wenger would be prepared to pay anything like that either. City, of course, are quite another matter.
Perhaps someone knows what our players are paid these days.

Its absolutely ridiculous that 18yr olds can have their head turned because of the money if this is true tbh. It just goes to prove what the priorities have become. an 18yr old should think about being at the club that'd be the best for his career, we're among the best when it comes to that. Why he'd want to leave is anybody's guess.
Poor people advising him is a handy excuse but surely a ridiculous one if its club likes City and Arsenal that are potential suitors. midfields he'd never get into. Surely pogba is smart enough to figure that out himself?
The only figure actually mentioned as a possible contract on offer was the the 15k/week he allegedly turned down.
I expect every promising young footballer is told the same thing by their agents: "You're a brilliant player, you'll play no matter where you go". Add that to their innate self-confidence and it's not hard to see how they end up making the decisions that they do.
Yes, the agent would say that. Its what they do, their job. But surely you'd need to have an IQ < 10 to actually believe your agent when he says that you'd have a better chance of making the city midfield or even arsenal's than us?
Refusing a 15k wage deal at 18 is ridiculous if true. Reports of him wanting 40k are surely untrue though, i dont think anybody could be that thick to think pogba deserves that, not even him or his agent.
Pogba, like most young players, probably believes he's ready to play every week for a top team. He is, I'm sure, utterly convinced that it's an injustice that he doesn't play every week. He'd feel just the same if he went to City. He probably has a few dozen people around him telling him how much better than this player and that player and how if he is going to be a reserve, why not do it on £20k p/w instead of whatever he's on now.
