If found guilty I think they should throw the book at him to set an example
Should be Harsher than Cantonas ban
They should, but they won't. 6 match ban at most i think.

I suppose if he is guilty the ban should reflect the priorities of the FA. If like Rio missing a drugs test is a 8 month ban? Hitting a fan is a 6 months ban? Then using racist language is a 6 match ban then thats the message the FA are delivering.
no chance
The two issues are completely separate. Of course if he gets a ban here, and he gets a ban for the abusive gesture, he will be punished for both, but that's as much as they're linked.Might be a silly question but if Suarez gets a ban for the finger gesture will/can the fa combine a possible ban for the evra incident as well?

6 game ban and a 75k fine is the latest 'rumour' going around a few scouse boards I'm told
Could be a load of bollocks (probably is) but if true, a decent result?
Agree completely. But they'll be thowing this 'context' angle around at every oppotunity.
The bottom line is - Sewer rat knew exactly what he was doing/saying, the cnut

Personally I suspect the reason this is taking longer than the Conrad Murray trial might be because the FA have no idea how to punish him.
FWIW I wouldn't be surprised to see him found guilty but with the FA saying they accept that no offence was intended or some such shit.

I know, but you said it was a decent result if true. I disagree.I said it was rumoured. It's not gospel ffs.

Suarez..6 game ban..75k fine #LFC
According to the FA, missing a drugs test is worse than taking drugs.
That's not just the FA. That's in every sport as far as I know. Also WADA's policy. And it's actually not that unlogical.
The idea is that if you miss a test without a good reason, you're automatically getting the same punishment as if you had taken the worst drug/substance you can take (I'd assume that would be performance enhancing drugs).
6 Game Ban and 75k Fine is laughable. If he's guilty, he should be punished severely.
"Kick it Out"?? More like: "give it a little tiny nudge".
Terry will get a longer ban than Suarez. None of these grey areas with cultural differences and the word supposedly being "negrito" involved in that case.We have to remember what Suarez supposedly said will set precedent for the Terry case.
I can see the logic in it but I don't see why they don't just give the individual a further 24 hours to report to them for the drugs test under the condition that if they miss the second appointment they'll be banned.
You're not going to clear drugs out within that 24 hours surely?
6 games is harsh enough.
What do you suggest, the chair?
