Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

8 games is too much imo...

This is getting ridiculous and people are using double standards overhere. I know it's the scousers but this will create a dangerous precedent.
Come, next march and the fa will find an excuse to ban rooney or nani like they did when wayne uttered the 'f***' world.
Time will tell and you never know what these clown will come up with, in order to cover up their incompetence in handling more important issues.

No, it will create a very good precedent. I know it's the scousers but I would want this whatever club it was. And if one of our plaeyrs does the same, they deserve everything they get.

Which are the "more important issues" you refer to? Racism is quite a biggy in my book.

I don't know what you lot are talking about. There are dozens of Uruguayan guide books available online. If Evra read eight or nine of those then he'd almost certainly have known that Luis was just trying to make a friend, not racially abuse him, and we'd never have had all of this unnecessary drama.

Could you please explain how Evra's reputation has gone up in the cnutish stakes?

He's heard words directed at him on the pitch that he considers racially based abuse, he made a formal complaint, and then without he or the club entering the media arena on this waited for the decision of an independent three man panel, and subsequent to the decision has continued not to engage the media, all while assorted news outlets (most recently Ronnie Whelan in one of his articles) crap on about a checkered past of race card playing that doesn't actually exist.

Unless he's burned down some orphanages or something when I've not been paying attention you seem to have succumbed to the same tribalism you're accusing everyone else of, because it would seem that Evra has not acted in a way to call his reputation into question here.

Evra is clearly jealous of Luis' standing in the game and has hatched a devious ploy in an attempt to hurt Luis. Evra and Luis were chatting harmlessly about their plans for Christmas. Luis was telling him about his annual festive charity work, feeding disadvantaged black orphans. Evra pounced on the opportunity. He tricked Luis into repeating the sentence, in order to capture the "offensive" term on camera numerous times. He then pretended to take personal offence, as if he was completely unaware of the truth. I've heard on solid ground that Evra regularly summers in Uruguay and loves the way in which the locals affectionately refer to black people. He (Evra) then reported the incident in the hope of getting Luis banned - a desperate attempt to sabotage not only Liverpool's previously unstoppable march towards 6th place in the league, but also Luis' chances of winning Sky Sports Player of the Year 2011 - an award which Luis has dreamt of winning since he was a child.

Evra has tarnished Luis' reputation forever. He has condemned him to live the rest of his life perceived as a racist by the majority of the public, who aren't aware of the true facts or are too lazy to research them. Instead people are happy to lazily accept the verdict of the Manc-Loving FA and the Manc-Dominated media.

Fortunately for Luis, Liverpool Football Club; it's staff, players and fans, are aware of the truth. Luis is an extremely talented football. His play on the pitch shows that he is a man of intelligence. His relationships with his fellow players shows that he is a kind, likeable person off it. The Kopites adoration for Luis shows that he is a man of the people. A man who fights for the little people: the poor, the mentally disadvantaged, and the petty thieves that stand in the Kop chanting his name. It is clear from this information that Luis is no racist.

I never use this, but:

Come on lads, don't let the haters get under your skins. Have a stroll in the RAWK thread or something. :D

It's amazing how they are arguing how bad Evra has come out of this looking, when in reality, in this situation he has acted impeccably and the only reason he is looking bad in their eyes is because of their own factually incorrect and downright libellous smear campaign on him! Of course someone is going to look bad if you start spreading hateful lies about them.

Yeah ignore retardman5.

there is nothing to be jealous about suarez being a cheat.

Holy fecking shit, thats disgraceful.

Jesus, I've never had any time for Collymore, but that's disgraceful, nobody whould have to put up with that being sent to them.

Given that some bloke got jailed for trolling the family of a suicide victim on facebook, surely each and every poster on that page should be expecting a knock on the door before too long?

I'm actually genuinely shocked at that.

I'm used to seeing those sort of comments on youtube, where people chat shit anonymously. I always thought it was just people bring pricks as some sort of attempt to shock.

Beggars belief that people would actually make those sort of comments in a forum where they are easily identified. What absolute fecking vermin. So depressing to see people like that still exist in 2011.

This is what social mediums vs unbelievable ignorance, niavety and a belief in complete online anonymity gets you. Good, get them out in public and shame the feckers into absolute oblivion. I'd like to see punishment for people sending these messages, in the same sense that the people who encouraged looting with the riots on twitter and facebook, were identified and charged.

Let's hope they are.

This thread reflects a lot of what Rory Smith says in his article...........Sanctimonious & hypocritical.

What, like issuing a statement dismissing the findings of an independent investigation, claiming your player has no charge to answer and didn't deserve punishment, then claiming the player who accused him should get punished too for doing the same thing, despite your player not deserving punishment?

What, like calling an independent investigation "outrageous" because it's apparently all based simply the word of the accuser, when your own player has admitted saying it and your defence up until the decision had been entirely based around how he'd "meant it"?

What, like calling into question the integrity of the a accuser, including falsely insinuating he has made unfounded racism allegations in the past and STILL continue to have that unfounded allegation on your website, whilst at the same time using his testimony to PROVE that your player isn't a racist person?

What, like making a sensitive issue like race relations and racist language all about the troubles and strife of Liverpool football club whilst all the time attempting to shift the blame onto another player in a malicious, petty way and then claiming you and your player are the real victims in all this?

What, like attempting to rig a Sky poll by mass voting for a player who doesn't deserve it out of some kind of misguided attempt to "support him" and then complaining to Ofcom when another set of fans manages to rig it more successfully in favour of their player?

What, like flocking to Twitter & message boards to defend a player of racism and offence by throwing insults and offence at every journo & former player who dares do disagree, including racist insults to one of your own former players?

What, like that?

You can all think what you like about Evra & the FA and reputations, but the cold hard truth is that every other club, and ever other set of fans have seen your reputation plummet in the last few days through your myopic, paranoid behaviour. You're the laughing stock of the country mate. ...And your own fans' rambling in house articles on the unfairness of it all aren't swaying that one little bit I'm afraid.

If something has gone beyond the point of a personal conflict and has turned into actual violent threats that you feel are credible, call the police. You can report violent threats by submitting a Support ticket.

It's a bit Sepp Blatter.

What makes it worse is that Stan is a known sufferer of depression.

Telling him to hang himself is just terrible. Cnuts.

So hang on...with that Colly account, are those tweets one's that he's given a "thumbs up" for? How have they ended up in the favourites section? (I'm a bit twitter-illiterate)

It's so they are easy for people to find, it's just like saving a text for later. Doesn't mean you like it.

Truly incredible. The fact that they're happy to have their names and faces associated with these comments is mind boggling. It's like a BNP rally.

If asked they could all claim their twitter was hacked, but at the very minimum they should be forced to 'apologise for their earlier tweets to those offended by them.' It's their account, it should have some responsibility attached to it.
