Barcelona - a lot of moaning about them and some praise

For a start, people have said time and time again that the thread needs renaming

... which is my point entirely. Thanks, was it that hard?

Re the bit in bold, you seem to have trouble reading, the thread title says they are a disgusting team, not THE most disgusting team. It's a subtle difference, I'll grant you, it's not like it changes the entire basis of what you're saying. Oh wait, my bad, yes it does.

Oh my! THE most disgusting team because they are the only ones with a thread about it... God you're slow.

Oh and if so many agreed with the idea that Barca are only successful due to cheating you shouldn't have any trouble backing your claim up, should you?
you seem to have trouble reading R_nick

I don't really even need to look for it (and I don't really care enough to look to be honest). If you don't think it's true, then that's one more point we agree on. What's the problem then? I hope too that nobody is stupid enough to say such a thing..

And now my second question?

And now my second question?

1. No, that wasn't the point you were making, you were bitching about what people say, you're now moving the goalposts to talk about the thread title. IF you took the time to look beyond the title of this thread and look at what people were actually saying in the aftermath of last night's game then you'd know full well that Barca weren't singled out for anything. In fact Pepe probably got the most abuse thrown at him, followed by Ramos.

2. Again, try reading the content of threads rather than the title.

3. So what you're saying is that you made a totally baseless point and you have nothing to back it up with. Glad we understand each other.

4. I already answered your other question you dumb feck.

Danny, would you dump Welbeck, Evra, Jones, Smalling, Rooney, Rafael, Nani etc in a shot?

If so I honestly don't understand why you support United, to say I'm baffled by that question is the understatement of the year.

Hypothetical questions still have to make sense.

I don't root for Barcelona for many reasons. I don't root for them now so obviously I wouldn't want their whole team.

Short answer. No.

Yes, in a scenario that makes sense, instead of Welback, Macheda, Gibson, ... who are coming out of our academy, imagine if our academy produced Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Fabregas, Pedro, ..., and then we bought Daniel Alves, Villa, ...etc. so we end up with the exact current Barcelona team.. Will you refuse to have this scenario, and prefer to have the players we have now instead?

Your answer was no, I wouldn't want to have Barcelona's players, and I'd choose to have the ones we have now. Thanks for your honesty.

That's 5 "No"s, 0 "Yes"s.

In percentages: 100% of United fans would prefer to have Welback, Macheda, Gibson, Cleverly, ...etc. to come out of their academy and buy Valencia, Rooney, ...etc. instead of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Fabregas coming out of their academy and buying Daniel Alves, Villa...etc.

Thank you all for your honesty.

Wow. None of that holds any relevance to your original question.

Well done.

If Messi is up for sale, wouldn't you want to bring him to United? You are trying to look loyal, but you end up embarrassing yourself and appearing as somebody who doesn't know anything about loyalty.. Loyalty = I want my team to be the best in the world, but I'd still support it even if it was the worst team in the world!

I'm not sure your mental ability will allow you to understand those words though..

You must be on a wum.

I think the question you're asking is "are Barcelona better than United". Ask it properly and your result will be switched to 5 "Yes's" 0 "No's".

The way you are asking it is bordering on retarded, no I wouldn't hypothetically swap all of the players I have watched bring success to this club for years like Scholes, Giggs, Rooney, Rio or the likes of Welbeck I've been waiting for 5 years to show us the form he is this season, or Tom Cleverley for that matter. I doubt you'll find many that would.

If I had a brand new team and had to decide do I buy Barca's squad or United's squad, well that's a different answer too, as it would be for the rest.

In short, you asked retarded questions.

If Messi is up for sale, wouldn't you want to bring him to United?

Obviously.

:lol::lol: the irony!

Messi being for sale is not the same as the scenario you put forth.

Your location is Old Trafford. Are you a Barcelona fan first, United first or just both?

Brilliant response.. Because "would you swap our side with Barcelona's" and "would you buy Messi if given the chance" are the exact same things..

You fecking retard.. Sometimes I wonder if some people are intelligent enough to inhale oxygen on a constant basis.

No, you tried to twist it in a way to avoid answering it.. The point behind my question is pretty clear. Would you like a scenario in which we end up having the current Barcelona players (all of them) instead of ours = exchanging players, would you take it?

That's unfair, I just don't think our mental abilities allow us to understand him.

No it wasn't and it still isn't.

I'll help you out, try asking this Danny:

"If you had a brand new team and had to decide do I buy Barca's squad or United's squad, which would you buy"

No, you tried to twist it in a way to avoid answering it.. The point behind my question is pretty clear. Would you like a scenario in which we end up having the current Barcelona players (all of them) instead of ours = exchanging players, would you take it?

No, your question was, and I quote; "If you were offered to exchange our team with Barcelona's now, the whole team, will you do it?"

This has nothing to do with what you've been rambling on about in your last few posts. You're just digging an even bigger retard pit for yourself here and the sides are getting so steep you'll never see the light of day again.

Oh, and the answer is still no.

The next question is why?

Why don't you wish you had Xavi instead of Carrick. Or Iniesta instead of Fletcher. Or Messi instead of Rooney. Or Busquets instead of Gibson...etc.

Of course, the question is excluding the emotional factor of our attachment to our players obviously, because we're assuming here that we get those players in a normal way, but end up having the current Barcelona squad instead of ours.

How does one go from this:

- Diving wasn't invented by Barcelona.

- Can you name ONE club that doesn't have any divers in it?

- Singling out Barcelona to criticize for something every other team does = bitterness.

- Claiming that Barcelona's success is due to diving and cheating = taking bitterness to a whole new level.

- People who only watch Barcelona when they are losing, and only get vocal when Barcelona is favored in a decision by the ref or one of their players dive, while stay silent when a decision goes wrongly against them or one of the players of the opposing team dives, do not have (in my opinion) enough credibility to claim that this thread has anything to do with "objectivity"..

To asking if a United fan would swap all of our players for Barca's? And this, of course, being posed by a United fan.

I only read the last page, did I miss something vital?

The point is: If we had Barcelona's squad, and WE were the team who won everything they won, and we read somewhere somebody is saying that "We are a disgusting team" we would immediately shout "bitterness!". The fact is we don't care if Nani dives if we win 6 trophies in one year. We don't care if Cantona kicks somebody if we win the premier league. We don't care if Keane punches a player, if we win the game. We laughed at City for calling themselves "the moral winners" after they lost the game and got eliminated..

Having a thread like this on our forum is an embarrassment for us in my opinion, because it just sounds bitter. I'd be thrilled if United win everything Barcelona won, and let Nani dive all he wants, and Rooney kicks everybody he wants..

We can talk about players diving in the respective threads. We even talk about our players when they dive.. But the idea of having a dedicated thread to call Barcelona a "disgusting team" is a stupid idea in my opinion. And bitter.

We did care when Nani dived a lot in his first couple of years here. People even disliked him for it and a large chunk of our fans pointed that fact (diving) out a lot.

I wouldn't want my team to win at all cost. To some extent it's excusable and forgetable, then it becomes embarrassing.

I would much rather we win without cheating.

If a player is exceptionally talented, then it is much worse if they feel the need to cheat, in my opinion.

I would much rather we win without cheating.

Look, we all hate diving. We all hate cheating. And we all would love to win without cheating.. But how many time have Chelsea cheated their way into victory? How many times have Arsenal cheated their way into victory? How many times have Liverpool cheated their way into victory? Many times.. That's why I won't lose any sleep if Rooney dives and we get a penalty. I won't like it, but don't really care that much. I'd probably talk about it during the game. But when the game is over and we win the game, I'm not going to care about Rooney's dive.. In fact, I don't really want our players to keep the game 100% clean when their opponents aren't. If we play Barcelona and they get a penalty through a Busquets dive, do you think I'd discourage Rooney from doing the same? No. That's what makes the game fair. The referee will not get all decisions right, but he'll get as much wrong in your favor as he would against you.

So in the end, we all hate diving.. We talk about it during the games, but when we make a whole thread like this about one (extremely successful) team, I still think is embarrassing, and bitter, like we would (rightfully) say about anybody making a similar thread about us when we achieve great successes.

.........

Pepe was horrible for Madrid with his blatant diving.

Can we rename this thread, Barcelona AND Real Madrid are disgusting football teams?

I don't think anyone's denying that Madrid are a cynical bunch of cnuts in these games either.

Can we rename this thread, Barcelona AND Real Madrid are disgusting football teams?

Would be more fitting

Out of the two, I don't think Barcelona are any better or worse than Real Madrid. The two are as bad as each other.

These are from the last page, when this was bumped last night.

Are you really going to carry on making out that everyone is singling out poor little Barcelona?

I'm obviously talking about the thread title, and I know you agree with me on this, so I don't really know why you keep arguing..

I'd like to think I don't agree with you about anything, but a change in the thread title would mean it gave a truer reflection of the content.

If changing the title of the thread would mean you no longer had an issue with anything else being discussed then you really are an odd little creature.

Oh and if you're only talking about the title, stop talking about having 'a whole thread about Barca'.

some people should calm down and remember this is a football forum

what danny asked is a valid question, no matter how against it you are

ffs, go write a blog if you don't want to read opinions that don't agree with yours

Nobody has said he shouldn't have the right to ask his question.

By the same token, he should go and write a blog if he doesn't want to hear objection to it.

Everyone ganged up on Danny, to be fair I agree with some of what he says.

And some of you really are bitter cnuts who cannot seem to enjoy great games of football.

The match thread was far more negative than positive.
