I'm surprised at the way some people are talking about him. He wasn't really frozen out today at all, in all honesty.
By not including him, Fergie made a very wise choice. Sure, he had been on a good goalscoring run, however we saw that he's still the same Berbatov in the away game to Newcastle. When playing against bigger side who you'll struggle to beat, he's not a player you want on the pitch. He generally goes missing in those situations, and doesn't make much of an impact. With the exception of that hat-trick when we played them at home, can you think of many big games where he's been brilliant for us?
He still has an important role to play for us, however that's going to be mainly assuring that we can convincingly beat some of the smaller teams in the league, by putting a few past them. It's what he's best at.
