Have we ever actually established if this 12 month option actually exists?

It does it doesn't actually mean anything though. Just like the 12 month option we have with Berbatov.

Well it does mean something doesn't it. It means we've got another 12 months to give him games and persuade him to renew.

That probably only means we have an option to get some money out of this. Don't think we should be kissing an 18 year old's arse, one who still has a ways to go. As annoying as it is to see this happen, it would again set a bad precedent if we let him get his way.

Of which he could sign a contract with Juve today and just run his one down and leave for nothing.

I didnt realize players went to OT 7 hrs before KO in a team bus.

They go to a hotel first then they go to OT just a couple of hours before kickoff.

Morrison I think was more of a case of he was an idiot. This one stinks more.

Losing both would be, as someone else said earlier, a massive kick in the teeth. Two exceptionally highly rated youngsters to depart the club before showing what they're capable of, regardless of the reasons, is shit.

No he couldn't.

His contract finishes in the summer, if we have the option to add another year to that, then he can't sign a pre-contract until next January.

If he isn't involved tonight then he's definitely off I'd say. Something is wrong when you can't convince a youngster to stay at Manchester United. Everyone wants to blame Pogba (and Morrison) for this but I've got a feeling that there's more to it.

Why?

Seems straightforward to me.

Morrison wasn't offered a contract because he was acting the maggot and not turning up to training etc.

Pogba's been offered a contract but is refusing to sign.

What's the conspiracy theory?

We're losing one of the most promising midfielders in Europe, we're failing to attract quality players in CM and our best 2 midfielders are over 36yrs if age. I remember guys (me including) laughing at AC Milan for sticking to old players. We're not laughing anymore
I don't think this was picked up on. It's absolutely ridiculous. AC Milan was old all over the pitch, all through their squad. It's well known that SAF builds squads in layers. Atm we have two very old players, a bunch of players around 30, a bunch of players in their mid 20s and a bunch of players around 20. To compare our squad with the ACM that was laughed at is desperate and ridiculous.

Of course there is more to it; there's a fat feck with greasy hair telling him what to do. Raiola the fat pizza-eating feck can feck off. Seriously, I hate him with a passion.

The gate is open for Pogba here. It's a shame really.

There have been players like Cleverley and welbeck coming through and their wage improvement has been gradual. Its how it is going for the rest of the academy graduates till they start excelling in the main team.
Now if you would go out and break this pattern so that Pogba stays at United, what message are you conveying?

Its arguable that for quality players, wage structure differs but he needs to perform in the main team and we definitely provide a wage structure for youngsters. Javier is proof of that and so will Welbeck and Cleverley in the near future.Pogba will just have to believe in his future here. His agent is a scumbag which doesn't help matters but its how it is at United. It would be a pity if pogba does leave cause he is rated so highly and has performed well. Question is would you keep this principle at United or would you break it for individual youngsters?

There's just been too much bullshit around the Pogba and Morrison situations. The worst thing is that it seems both are taking the decision to leave and not the other way around. All things considered, this just seems a complete balls up. They're two of the best youngsters we've had in a long time and they both play in midfield, the position in our team that is calling out for new blood. There's no way that we want to see the back of these players, yet here we are.

Ok, most people have a different opinion on the Morrison situation, but the Pogba one is completely different. Just a few weeks ago Fergie said he wants to stay, now he's 'unsure'. What has happened in that space of time that has put doubt in his mind to do a complete 180 and seemingly decide to leave?

Well, no. By all accounts Morrison's departure was as much down to the club losing patience with him as it was down to him demanding a move himself. He wasn't turning up to training and generally acting like a dick. You could tell he was fecking about months before he left by the lack of opportunities he was getting for the reserves.

As for Pogba, he's obviously a little torn (I should fecking hope so anyway!) but the bottom line is straightforward. His head has been turned and he's considering a move elsewhere. Which happens. Especially with kids from abroad.

I'm not sure what you're getting at anyway? Is there something going on beyond the obvious? What's your theory?

I'm not buying it. There's more than a fat feck agent at play here. He's got superstars telling him to stay at united, yet he still cant be convinced!? This fat feck of an agent must be making one hell of an argument to Pogba for him to not want to stay.

There is no theory. Your argument is made up of pure hearsay, unless you know for a fact that Morrison regularly missed training. Besides, what the feck does Morrison not turning up for training have to do with Morrisons 'unacceptable demands' that Fergie was talking about. Was he demanding that he doesn't have to train? Morrison himself has said many times since that he had to move as he wanted to play football. He's shown no ill feeling towards the club that has supposedly just fecked him off. Not the actions of a player with a supposed attitude problem.

What reason did United give for him leaving? None.

Just so we're all reading from the same hymn sheet - when he goes Tunnicliffe and Petrucci are our low rent replacement versions of Pogba and Morrison right?

No, Tunnincliffe and Petrucci are the new Keane and Del Pierro!

Eh? What argument? I don't have an argument. I'm just telling you what seems to have happened, based on all the information to hand. Which includes information from journalists who seem to have solid connections within the club. It's fairly fecking obvious that Morrison has attitude problems, don't know why you have to refer to them as "supposed"

I'll ask you again, what do you think is going on here? Beyond the obvious, anyway.

To the Mats Moller Daehli thread.

Losing Pogba would be a kick in the balls. Morrison was still understandable because of his lack of a brain.
