Eden Hazard | "I am signing for Chelsea"

Are they really interested or just want to drive up the price?

They may well be interested and that interest could very well be genuine. However, City's pursuit of Nasri last summer always makes me think that they will try to target anyone we are looking at.

The commentator even said;

'well I think we've got the point. Not sure why we are seeing so many shots of Mancini'

Hazard played class though. Hard to see us winning a battle with Shitty to get him because they will just chick her cash at Lille and the player and his agent...

Hazard scored a goal and two assists and had a part in the fourth. Some say he upped his game cause Mancini but they're ignorant. He has been carrying his team all season now

I knew you would post something like that.

Just heard from very random source (a doc on another website I frequent) that he's signed some kind of pre-contractual agreement with l'Arse.

No idea how reliable this information is but I'll be bumping this and saying I told you so if it turns out to be true.

That's got to be right up there for the "strangest ITK" award.

Arsenal will finish 3rd this year and will probably challenge for the top 2 next year if they get a player like Hazard. Assuming of course that RvP stays, Wilshere returns to form, and Oxlaide continues his rapid ascent to becoming a star.

Was this something that he is ITK about or was he merely stating something he had read elsewhere? Earlier in the season there was strong links between Hazard and Arsenal, to the extent where I'm sure at least one news source probably reported it as a done deal.

Not heard anything about this on any of the sites i normally trawl through, i'd be surprised to be honest, you know, Arsenal beating United, Chelsea, Madrid to a 'name' player.

I have heard rumours about Holtby coming, which would be much more Arsene.

He's not available on a free though is he, so if true, it only shows where he intends/would like to go - could mean diddly squat if Arsenal won't match what others are prepared to pay for him

Could mean that he'd have to fork out a decent sum if he doesn't sign.

I suspect that were this to be true there will be very little left to chance. A player usually gets the move to the club they want.

I am pretty sure any agreement with another club without agreeing a fee by that club will be illegal anyway.

Sanchez to Barcelona is a case in point.

He's probably right...

We're probably not going to win the Champions League next season due to a number of different reasons but the main reason I don't go round posting that non stop is because I'm not a defeatist little twat who wishes he could support a big spender like City.

Not sure. See no reason why he couldn't sign an "agreement" with another club in theory - i.e. legally speaking he can state that he will sign for them perhaps if a fee is agreed?

Whether or not that's in line with FIFA/UEFA rules is another matter but I do suspect that it goes on.

I think the key thing is if he has made any sort of agreement, legally binding or otherwise it would be highly indicative as to where he'll end up.

It can't be in line with FIFA/UEFA rules. Even speaking to a player under contract is illegal without getting in touch with his club first, how signing an agreement with him would be then?

Presumably not if the club gave him permission. He seems to have made it clear he's off and the club may have chosen to allow him to negotiate with clubs to smooth his departure.

Plus, it happens all the time - players "representatives" talk to other "reps" not officially linked to clubs. Seemingly all done at arms length so it can be denied.

The days where a bid was made without the club knowing whether a player is interested I suspect are long gone.

That's very nicely put.

Young, extremely talented and full of himself. But at the same time, professional and loyal to current club. Sounds familiar...

Goodness, Nike are pathetic.

Imagine if they did the same for Ronaldo whistle he was still a United player?

Don't want him at Arsenal, we have Chamberlain & Miyaichi, to experiment with.

Couple of good season and he will be hosting a new video calling for Madrid & Barca to come for him.

Is that actually Eden Hazard?

If so, what an utterly bizarre thing to do.

Yes it is.

I dont really think Lille care, they are gonna get a huge pay out which will help stabilise there club for a long time.

This is just giving him a shop window.

He's going to a Nike club then I reckon. The only purpose I can see for making it is if Nike can market the hell out of the move.

imo these antics will certainly not impact our 'supposed' interest in him positively.

Can't see why we would care. It's done by Nike and although it's not great Lille will basically auction him off to the highest bidder. I don't see why he shoul pretend he wants to stay when the club will sell him. It's not great, but it doesn't mean all that much.

Just like the micheal owen "brochure" put us off? no dont think so.

This is just advertisement work for nike thats all.

I was not referring to this incident only, but to Hazard constantly talking to the press, speculating about his next club. He s becoming a transfer muppet ...:).
My impression is that fergie just dont appreciate that - he prefers players who are more focused on what happens on the field
