Manchester United vs. QPR

Thats just shocking. Couldn't even celebrate that goal.
How can you not see thats offside. There's clear daylight nobody blocking the way.
Shocking stuff.
Yeah.. Hope we win.. but it has taken the fun out of it.. for the moment at least.

Curiously, the ref seemed to have no doubt whatsoever that it was a penalty & a sending-off(?)

I'm sure it looked like a pen from his point of view and he was sure that Young was being robbed of a goal scoring opportunity but I'd still have thought the red would be harsh despite if Young didn't go down easily or was offside. It was a foul though.

I don't even think it's big club bias, it's genuine incompetence.

I'd say 50% of the PL officials are not good enough.

I'd like to see Michael Oliver get more high-profile games.

He's come on leaps and bounds this year. Very accomplished.

Is it my impression or was Young being booed over there?

QPR fans will probably boo him for the rest of the match. I can see him getting a heated reception next time we play at their ground if he's playing for us.

I really dont care to be honest. We've surely got enough decisions go against us earlier this season, turns and roundabouts and all that. The only problem is that the decisions going against us will never be a big deal, as we tend to win most of our games either way.

I am actually embarrassed by that a bit. Not feeling a great deal of pleasure from getting that goal oddly. As weird as that sounds.

Young's dive has also ruined it for me. I wouldn't mind a decision going our way but one of our players diving to get it is embarrassing and there was no fecking need, not that there ever is. But to dive in the 14th minute or something against QPR at home, shameful.

Can't wait to see the state of King Kenny's hair after that decision. It'll be at least 12 colours.

Sad to say, I've almost lost interest in the game now. I don't think I've ever been as disappointed in a decision going for us as I am with that. It's killed the game and given so much fuel to the haters now.

Young should have buried that.

feck that shit, we are winning and we should take it any way possible. Do you think city fans would not take your hand off for a similar call later today?

Some feeling unhappy after this maybe reading too much into those idiots who think we are corrupt

Of course. But I can't really force myself to not feel a bit empty about it. Nobody wants to win by dodgy decisions.

In this case, the referee should only be taking half of the blame. Not only was it an offside, but it was a pretty obvious one as well. Should have been easy for the linesman to call.

BBC Sunday Football
Here is an interesting stat - Rooney's penalty means that United have now scored in their last 46 Premier League fixtures, equalling a record set by Arsenal between 2001 and 2003. United last failed to score in a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in December 2009.
We haven't scored in the 3-0 defeat against Newcastle

They're so shit!!!!

Really only idiots are working for them.

Yep, with the Murphy foul we could say it was the refs fault for not spotting it, but no defence for Young going down like a sack of shit.

All of you people need to get a grip. Decisions are part of football. Am I happy about it? No. Am I still going to watch the game and support the team? Yes. Lost interest because of a decision? Just because you worry about haters? This is a sensitive lot!

I think people are letting the RAWKites etc get to them with this conspiracy stuff..yes it was a poor bit of refereeing but we still get ourselves into the box to cause problems and you cant turn down a penalty awarded to you can you? So get over it and watch the game ffs.

Aye we better at least play well and deserve a win. If this game peters out and we win 1-0 it will be hard to enjoy

Thank you.

Yeah that's fair enough.

But common sense tells Mason: if it was a tug, how did it result in Ashley falling so unnaturally. A better ref would have had the common sense to see that. Not that the player doesn't deserve to be lambasted for such pathetic gamesmanship.

I don't think anyone's turning off. There's nothing wrong with being magnanimous.

To be fair, it was a very poor decision. However, we didn't get too much sympathy when Rio gave away a 'penalty' in the home game v Newcastle.
