Yes. And I don't think he's Premiership or at least Man Utd grade. never thought that and people going on about him for years.

Lots of strikers and wingers who looked great in other leagues but didn't make work in the Premiership - Rebrov, Poborsky, Jesper Olsen all looked great in other leagues but didn't make it in PL.

Oh - and just because SAF made the trip doesn't mean we'll sign him - just that we're taking signings very seriously!

I never said we were signing him. Fergie's visit could mean something or it could not mean anything. I don't care about that. This lad is not world class yet but I think if he moves to a good team, he will soon be. And who exactly is Man Utd grade?

What an obscure three to pick. Anyway he is more talented than that, and btw what is United grade at the minute? We arent exactly the tops in midfield right now are we?

You know that your argument is basically pointless when the counter argument can be as easily made and with the list of successful strikers and wingers who've come from foreign leagues.
You have no point tbh and by the looks of things, you haven't seen enough of him

Both us and City watched Lille within a week or so. And although all the main talk is of course about Hazard, I believe we've both been linked with Digne on a more quiet note. I have a funny feeling the battle wont be to sign Hazard (as I dont expect him to come to United or City) but maybe for the young left back instead.

A young left back? I reckon you could be on to something there as we're clearly going to be in for a left back. Fergie did say he looked at Hazard and others too, not just Hazard.

Fwiw we're definitely in for him and are trying to get it wrapped up early.

Olsen was fecking brilliant until the pitches turned heavy. Which of course they don't do now anyway, but nowt to do with it being the premier league, as you put it.

Now lets suppose we do sign Hazard by some miracle. Do we need another striker or just move Rooney up top along with Welbeck and Hernandez so it clears up room for Hazard and the others in midfield.

Surely early would have been signing him before now... Or before telling people we're watching him

Not sure it really works like that. De gea didn't actually sign anything until June although a deal was agreed with atletico sometime before. Terms were probably agreed though. We thought we had nasri last summer until he fecked off to city at the last.

What could fergie say? "never heard of him"? He actually said he was watching hazard and a number of other players. There's no point in secrecy with hazard as everyone knows everyone else is after him.

Supposedly he has said he would consider any offer from Man Utd. He would only join Spurs if they qualified for the CL.

Edit:
"I am flattered by the compliment coming from the top manager in world football.

"I did not know he was at the game to be honest but no one knew he came to watch me because I was not aware.

"Manchester United are a very top team and anyone would listen to them."

Well if we are interested in him then I'd hope we'd be in a better position to attract him than Spurs - regardless of which European competition they play in next season.

We'd probably struggle to compete for some random player of his status if Real Madrid or Barcelona were interested, or if the sugar-daddy clubs City, Chelsea and PSG are opening their owners' bank accounts but we'd surely be on a strong level comparable to say Arsenal and maybe the Milans (depending on the wages they're offering nowadays) - but we must be more attractive than Spurs, regardless of the London draw.

Clubs he might sign for:

United, City, Chelski, Real

Less likely:

Arse

Unlikely:

Barca

No fecking chance:

Spurs

Tbh arsenal have just as much chance as us.

He has specifically said he wants first team football wherever he goes, and that isnt something we can offer every week realistically.

He would be first pick with rvp over at arsenal, and they could pay him a decent wage too.

CL football also.

While rule out Italian clubs?

Or PSG and all thier money

I might have got this wrong, but didn't the Lille manager/owner say not even the richest club in France could turn his head as he has his eyes set somewhere else?

Someone correct me here.

And I don't think him choosing spurs is as unlikely as some are suggesting. They aren't favourites but if they get in the cl they'll have a shot.

No way.

That's a big 'if' as to whether they will qualify. Most likely not I think.

He will be paid 2-3 times more at City, double at United or Arse.

Spurs don't compete on wages with the CL teams. Not even close.
