Anybody else getting fed up with this cock tease?
He certainly doesn't play on the 'wing' like our wingers do. He plays on the 'wing' like Sanchez and Iniesta do at Barcelona. Besides, we're very well stocked in our wide positions too, we have 3 of the leagues best wingers after all. If Hazard came here he wouldn't be playing in the role he plays as Lille, but if he went to City he'd be far more likely to play like that.
It would obviously depend on the match as SAF doesn't use 4-4-2 all the time and besides even if it was the case, I don't see how it'd mean Hazard would be used as a CM
I personally feel we will move away from 4-4-2 and play 4-5-1.
4-4-2 is fine in home games but we just dont seem in control in games anymore apart from when we played 4-5-1 recently.
Where do you get this from? He plays as a wing forward for Lille, with J.Cole on the opposite side, the same role as Ronaldo at Real. And if he came to us he would most likely get a similar role to Ronaldo for us, the free roaming wing role.

The funniest part of these threads ever year is when 24/7 transfer muppets begin to blame the player in question for prolonging their agony.
No he doesn't, but he does more often than not. We only really go 4-5-1 for bigger games and I don't expect that to change.
Who knows where he would play, but I wouldn't see the point in signing him if the idea was to use him primarily as a winger seeing as our wings are already extremely strong, which is why I think he'd have to be used as the attacking part of a midfield 3, or groomed into a central midfielder.
We are the masters of 4-4-2s against standard opposition and I doubt we'll change that against them this season. The problem this season was the lack of midfielders available to us to play in a 3 man midfield against bigger teams, hence we were left restricted to 4-4-2 in them too which cost us in Europe, the cups and against Shitty.
My point is that joining City will provide him less oprotunities given their current squad size in attacking positions.
I can't believe you are all still investing time and emotion in this. He's already decided ffs.
Straw poll here, and honest answers.
How many games have you seen Hazard play?
I can understand people having seen a lot of players in La Liga, Italy, and Germany somewhat. All of these can be watched in the UK on our sports channels.
But Ligue 1? Who watches that?

However, I must also say that about a year ago there has been an issue between Eden Hazard and the Belgian national team manager. Hazard got subbed off against Turkey and was very disappointed with that. After being subbed off he went to the dressing room, and then went to get a hamburger at a hamburgerstand near the stadium which was being made into a national item: hamburgergate. The manager suspended him for 2 games because of it, and Hazard apologized and the suspension was reduced to just 1 game. He then went on to play some very good games for Belgium. Anyway, that's also a side Eden Hazard seems to have, next to the level headed person I have usually witnessed. It might have had to do with the manager as well, because the Lille manager was surprised about the difficulties between Hazard and the Belgian manager.
Never seen him play.
Sounds like a media whoring cock to me.
If as good as he/people think, will be wanting a move to Spain in 2 years time.
Hope we don't sign him.
I'm not arguing that, but we'll also provide him less opportunities because we don't play players in that position and we already have great players, therefore he would really have to start playing in a new position in order to get lots of games, so it's a bitch of a catch 22 I guess.

Yeah you're right. I just wish there was a place that fans could talk and exchange ideas with each other. I bet theres a website or some kind of chat room devoted to bringing United fans from around the world together to talk about what they enjoy.
The whole "You will see which club I sign for" act doesn't really sit well with me. What does he think this is? Seems to be loving the attention.
I'm sure this has been brought up, but let's say we do sign Hazard. How would Nani feel about this? We would then have signed 2 players in his wide left position and SAF loves Tony so his position is safe. I'd be slightly concerned if I was Nani

Chief executive David Gill has sent a message to Eden Hazard and other United targets about the benefits of choosing red over blue.
Gill says the commercial benefits and the 'Old Trafford factor' can tilt potential signings United's way in spite of Manchester City's undoubted spending power.
The United official remains defiant that the club will continue to attract top talent as Belgian winger Eden Hazard continues to tease supporters of both Manchester clubs as to his next destination - which could be revealed next week.
Gill said: "It depends a bit on the player and his advisers and agent. If that player says 'It will just come down to a money thing' then they may out-muscle us. But that's their choice, we still pay very good salaries.
"Whilst other clubs may pay slightly more, we pay very good salaries and I think a player coming to Manchester United has the benefit of playing in front of 76,000 every week.
"We have our history and heritage, the commercial spin-offs if they want to choose to go down that route as well then they are probably better at Manchester United than other clubs arguably anyway."
Gill cites manager Sir Alex Ferguson as a trump card in United's hand with City boss Roberto Mancini's reputation outside the Etihad Stadium thought to be debatable, according to some top players.
"We shouldn't be shy or embarrassed or worried about not being able to attract top players because I firmly believe we can. With Alex and what we offer as a club many people want to come and play for us."

If we sign him can we ban you?
If we sign him can we ban you?
who does that ?
Pretty sure that is just a generic quote and he wasn't talking about Hazard, no?
