What the hell is up with the Molde board? They seem completely intent on ruining their relationship with Solskjær beyond repair. Don't they realize that they can't win against Ole in the public's (and very probably their own fans') view?
From my translation of the Aker letter I believe that Molde also have to pay the maintenance and upkeep on the stadium themselves. Not sure if that's a decent chunk of money or not.
Glad to hear Rokke isn't pulling out his involvement entirely. I got the impression that Aker does whatever he wants.

It's just stupid and poorly handled, really. Villa came with the private jet so that Ole could spend less time travelling and more time with the team before the match. And how on earth did they think that Ole talking to Villa would go unnoticed anyway? It's so stupid it makes me sick.

Most seems to be turning on Molde because of the way they handled it all. And it didn't help them that Ole had a much better reputation in the first place. Before it all started, it was already 10-0 in favour of Ole, and it would take immensely good handling by the club and equally bad by Ole to change that.
Latest news is that the Director Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen has gone on holiday abroad (!) and will not return until June 6. What a great man, just put the club in the worst position possible, and flee the country. Let's hope he never returns.

Molde won their game today 2-0 by the way.
They've made a bigger mess out of it than Liverpool did with Suarez-gate. And I'm afraid there is still a lot that we don't know of, and probably never will. As a Molde fan I don't know what to feel any more. The most promising and fantastic period I've ever experienced turned into one of the worst in a matter of days, by the same people that have done so much good for the club.
So Eirik, who's the badguy from a supporters view? It seems to me that the board have made a mess of something quite innocent, but I've seen Molde fans expressing their anger towards OGS aswell.

Opinions are split, and people don't know what to think really. Blame has been put on many. Fact is that it is difficult to blame anybody without knowing the specifics, which nobody knows really. All I know, is that this could and should have been handled much better by Røkke and the Molde FK board. But I think some supporters are also a bit angry at Solskjær because he seems so eager to get out of the club this early in his spell at Molde, in a hectic and important period with many league games and only two months before the CL qualification. Solskjær has said so many times that he intended to stay at Molde for a long time, so some supporters are now angry that he seems so eager to leave.

And just to confirm: Ole has a contract clause which says that he can negotiate with Premier League clubs at any time during his time in Molde.
Also, Ole spent 30 minutes after the match tonight in the mixed zone answering every single question from every single reporter. Legend!

Yeah, only a United fan would think that, I'd wager. Winning Norway with a club in your first season that hadn't won in 100 years is very impressive, but it doesn't make you a coach who should be at a top 4 English club, I dare say.
I am sure I am biased.
But my opinion is based on reasonable expectation of him. When I said top4 club in my post, I was only exaggerating to a point (the previous debate was "whether Ole is flattered by the approach") that Ole is a humble person so even he is confident and knows he's capable of managing a English club in the stature of Villa, he's bound to be saying he's flattered to be even considered.
I personally believe that Ole will go on to be a more successful manager than Robson, Bruce, Hughes etc... He's ambitious and made no secret he wants to one day manage United. And i believe he's feeling confident rather than flattered when Villa came knocking his door.
But the fact is, you don't know Ole and have no idea. Ole says he's flattered which is to be expected really, let's take him at his word.

Has to be said that Ole got huge financial backing from the board in his first season, probably more then any other Molde-manager before him. All credit to him, and I love the man, but I'm not certain that he should be moving up so soon.
Obviously, I would love to see OGS manage in the PL and I would probably try to catch as many Villa-games as possible if he were to become their manager but a part of me wants him to stay on and enjoy some more success in Molde before he moves on. It's probably because he's been my idol for as long as I can remember, and I really dont want him to fail.
I have no doubt that OGS is a great manager, and will become even better. It's a shame that all of this happened in Molde, because he was looked upon as a God by most people here (from what I've experiences atleast) but now his greatness will be overshadowed by this "nothing"-story for some time going forward and the man deserves more then that.
