Yes Dzeko may be leaving, but theres a good chance he probably wont either,
i think city would be silly letting him go, he scored plenty for them last year and is a good option for when tevez goes walkabouts again.

No way will rooney or mata give it up.

Fergie will push him for number 7, he would explain how important / popular it is at our club to our fans

Correct, it does sound ridiculous. But with the prima donnas in modern football, it would not surprise me one bit.

There is no prima dona bigger than Ronaldo.

You simply don't make a massive career move based on a bloody shirt number, that's not "prima dona", it's "retardation".

No, I don't mean base his entire decision on the shirt alone. What I mean is, if all 3 clubs are offering the same in terms of playing position and playing time, then whoever gives that number 10 shirt might just be enough to sway his decision?

Just imagine it...he takes off his Belguim shirt and reveals the club shirt he will be joining!!

Neither can Kagawa or Hazard and Sneijder played really well for Inter over the last month or so. He's not finished by any means.

This is absolute garbage. In 06 he said he want to go to "Real Madrid or Barcelona". If Madrid was really his childhood and lifelong dream there wouldn't be a "..or Barcelona" .
 
I still think hes joining City or Chelsea.
With Fergie increasing his bid for Kawaga today and also Id say he would hate this "i will announce it x" crap.
It stinks of a prima donna who will have 1 season in the premier league and then Dream of Madrid....etc

He always talked of his dream to play for Madrid though. Anyway, let's not get into this in the Hazard thread, I was just using it as an example, your comment about Barca is duly noted. I'm just throwing ideas around what could sway his decision mate.
 
There is no way a a player is going to turn down a club because they can't give him the number that he wants. He may want to play in the 'number 10 role' but he won't demand the number 10 shirt. It's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

The number of a shirt doesn't mean anything anymore in modern football.The day I truly realized that is when Wenger gave Gallas the famous # 10 at Arsenal.I was like "wtf Arsene" :lol:

This, this & this again! Are people losing it over Hazard in this thread!? He's not even demanding the #10 shirt, it clearly said the #10 position and the Mail are blatantly playing on words. Ridiculous to even think he would be demanding a shirt number to sway his decision!
