friendlytramp should be one of the contenders in the next Complete Mental Obliteration thread.
Wait, did you literally mean that he hadn't drawn his lines wide enough?
What a bellend.
Classic.
In all seriousness though FriendlyTramp, there is so much wrong with your formation I don't know where to begin.
How about starting with the fact that he put a player in that doesn't play for us and more than likely will never play for us.
Considering I made a thread about moving away from 4 midfielders and 2 strikers I'd say no.
Writing names into formations is pointless if you don't explain the role they are expected to play in each formation is what is pointless.
Wasn't it you that kept saying 442 is dead? That's about as pointless an observation as what you've described.
No that wasn't me.
If you read my thread I still believe 4-4-2 should be used against most teams, all but the big teams and a selection of other teams that make it difficult by packing the midfield. I see no shame in matching them in midfield and beating them with quality.
I have difficulties finding right place for him in our team. He is quality player but how should we play with him? Drop welbeck and start him up front with Rooney? Or as attacking midfielder in 4-3-3 which we don't play often?
Play him behind Rooney or another striker. Enough games to give all 4 of them gametime.
This is where I am lost. Play him instead of a forward, and have to also force Rooney to lead to line when starting him, I am not sure about all that.

If you can't deal with it, stop talking about it.

It's always the same every fecking season.
"Where will Evans play if Jones and Smalling are likely to be the back up centre backs?"
"What's the point signing Young? We already have Nani and Valencia"
People must think we're playing FIFA where you name your best XI week in, week out. It never happens like that, Rooney could do his cruciate and be out for a year and then where would we be? Form and injuries mean you never have a guaranteed first XI.

Can't we survive playing like this?
------------------Carrick-------
-Valencia----Kagawa---Rooney-----Nani
---------------Welbeck/Chicharito-------
Nope, chicarito can't pass, Valencia has no left foot and Carrick is no good as a centre forward

Oh noes!!
He can get a conditional permit on the grounds of being an "exceptional talent".

Look at rvp, many would at that like Rooney he'd be great in the number 10 role but arsenal have pushed him up top as the main striker and he's not looked back since. Rooney had a great return in a slightly withdrawn role, imagine how much he could get as the main man, particularly with the quality we!have in the wings and in attacking midfield if we add someone. As others have said the other strikers will still get time. Welbeck is flexible enough to come in across the front, not to mention general rotation, sometimes I'm sure fergie will prefer 2 strikers particularly against smaller teams. Likewise Hernandez will get games.
