Manchester United vs. Stoke City

the fact that we are not playing at the brittania stadium and that it is not a cold monday night, gives me some hope we might have a chance against the team that would put barcelona on its knees

I don't think Fergie or anyone should question player who does not want to wear it. It was no need for Fergie to say that about Jason Roberts.

I'm hoping Scholes will pull the strings for us today.

It's a great opportunity for Rooney and RvP to link up and show what they can do as a strike duo.

Because we have a champions league game mid week and the side that is out there is plenty good enough to beat Stoke.

We have more than enough players to play the diamond and still rotate. Nani, Kagawa, Cleverley, Anderson can all play in the diamond formation. I dont mind Valencia being there for some width but the Scholes - Carrick partnership is really uninspiring. If either Anderson or Cleverley played for Scholes I would have been happy. They dont both have to be rested for midweek.

Randall, you're entitled to your opinion, but you're talking shite here. Rio's brother was racially abused by the England captain and Rio gets dropped from the squad as a result by the FA. Now you expect him to support the FA's bullshit anti-racism campaign?

Exactly. The stand he is making is highlighting a problem, the fact the powers that be are not kicking racism out of football at all. Merely bigging themselves up with the right noises but when it comes down to it and they have the chance to actually kick it out with a big pair of steel toe capled boots and make a statement, they merely brush it to the side with a soft pair of slippers and a limp foot.

His brother was racially abused by the England captain. The FA's response? Stand by said captain and stop Ferdinand from going in case it causes a bit of upset and he's then expected to keep stchum and support their anti racism campaign? Well feck that. Good on him, attention seeking twat? Well least he's bringing a real issue to attention.

Valencia taking a bit too long to put the ball in the box there.

He's keeping the story relevant rather and keeping the focus on the fight against racism in the public attention. How can that be a bad thing

Anyway, game time

Come on United

Scholes and Carrick went on an unbeaten run of about 15 (?) Games last season, they will do fine.

Rooney and Van Persie start up front together! Wanky time.

What a pass by Scholes!

If that was Xavi,Iniesta or Zidane you all would have been wanking.
