Playing some good football but the final product is lacking. Van Persie and Rafael playing really well down the right. Anderson running the show, man of the match so far. Van Persie got a deflected goal in the first minute. Rooney not having his greatest game. Defense has been good, although West Ham have threatened a bit from set pieces.
 
I don't think it was a very good half bar the first 10 minutes. We were comfortable but also a bit clueless in the final third.
Lots of fancy short passes but not much point to them. I think the movement is off.
 
See how Carrick is performing better when not paired with any of our Old players?
 
All those complaining about streams, just search wiziwig in google and use that.

Only thing missing right now is the killer final ball. Anderson has been brilliant.
 
This is just simply more watchable than our regular fare.

Bring in Kagawa for Hernandez and move up Rooney up top and that could well be our best lineup.
 
Rooney just needs to push up a bit, and we'll do fine. Lovely football, and a good performance from all so far. Bit of composure lacking up front, and a bit more patience needed when we're on the edge of their area (90% of the match).

Don't get the criticism of Cleverley. He's keeping our passing ticking over, allowing Anderson to do the aggressive stuff. It's working perfectly. Plus he's already used that tight control to get out of some very tight spots and work the ball into space. Not many players on our team can do that as well as he can.
 
I think theres a real desire amongst some to say weve been improved but youd be clutching at straws. its not a question of whether ando or cleverley improve us theyre both playing fine, its about the bigger picture. the entire team has no style of play, no real shape. its been that way for ages, not individuals causing problems rather the set up or lack of. struggling to see where any threat is, we just seem to score now and then rather than have a way of going about it.

oh and giggs needs to come off.

I wish we were playing 4-3-3, instead of this wretched diamond.

If Rooney plays further up, then West Ham will find it harder to commit men to mark Evra or Rafael.

I really think we are tactically naive if we cannot even deploy 4-3-3 while also having the mindset that a diamond midfield is some kind of revolutionary thing!

Will only be a matter of time until you are able to pay to watch any and every game online.

And that is the HUGE windfall that I think the Glazers are waiting on...

The revenue would absolutely rocket.

Yep, reading through some of the comments would lead you to believe we were far better than we actually have.

We have been decent. Nothing more nothing less.

Good first half. Either Rooney needs to move further up or go wider, his movement is constricting our play in the middle. At times, him and RVP or him and Cleverley were in similar positions. What good does that do?!?!?

Much more watchable fare than our previous matches. Kagawa is simply meant for this type of system. Right now the lack of familiarity with this system is showing but I definitely think it's the way to go
 
It won't happen in England. Sky is too big there and there's too much money in it for the rightholders to change their ways. Same way here in Iceland. Every game is in one place. Market too small to have it other way.

Denmark and Canada have an online subscription. So does every American sport.

I would agree with you but have to give this setup some time. We've barely played with it. Of course it's not going to look that much better but it's more suited to our players. Would you not agree? Our tempo is much better.
