Manchester United vs. CFR Cluj

Why are people so surprised at Giggs' poor passing? He's been like that for nigh on five years now. Playing impossible balls the majority of the time, he rarely keeps the play simply ticking over.

Look at Giggs' performances at Anfield over the past few seasons since he was shifted inside to central midfield. Giving away ball after ball, it was painful to watch. The worst pass Ryan tries, and one so often too, is the one off the outside of his left boot over the opposition's defence. He continually gives it away via this means and it's simply infuriating to watch.
thats is a ridiculously harsh assessment of Giggs

his form has been pish most of this season but to slate his passing for the last few years is a really stupid stupid thing to say

Anderson and Cleverley injured in subsequent games......here is a sense of Deja vu.

I hope Clevz substitution is just a precaution.

Cleverley injured great decision SAF the only midfielder we have left that can run, play him in a nothing game before the biggest game of the season.

Scholes giggs and Powell in a midfield three

Can't see it being a big issue in this match. It's being played at a laboured pace and we have had the majority of possession. Scholes will sit the deepest of the three.

Clev did not look to bad when he walked off but has gone down the dressing room straightaway. Hopefully a precaution. He was able to hit a 30 yard ball without any reaction afterwards and did not look to be hobbling or anything. We will find out at 90 minutes but nothing overtly obvious.

Welbeck been our best player this half.

I guess we now know why SAF doesn't use Cleverley and Anderson. Made of glass.

Anderson and Cleverley injured again, while the 38 and 39 year olds are as fit as a butcher's dog. So fecking annoying

Some people would moan if their back was on fire and then moan if you pissed on their back to put the fire out ffs......

Yes would've been a great decision to play Clev at the City game with him lacking match fitness. Well done.

Personally I'd take Rooney off now. We're going to need him to drop into midfield(alot) on Sunday.

if he didnt play at all and looked rusty youd criticize him for just throwing him into a big game.

its no surprise they cant break into the team, they are ridiculously injury prone. i dont see the point in even trying if they get injured once a month.

What do you guys think about the injury? to me it didn't seem THAT bad, hopefully he'll be fit for the weekend.

Even rusty he's better than anything else we've currently got available not worth the risk.

Welbeck looks very good, too bad we haven't provided better service for him.

Do you even understand the concept of football ? There was no way Cleverley was gonna start the Man City match. If there was a perfect fixture for him and keep his fitness levels, it was tonight.
SAF cannot predict who will get injured and who won't :wenger:

I was expecting some of our younger players to put a good show and present their case to Fergie. None of Petrucci, Cole, Lingard or Tunnicliffe on the bench is also annoying.

Was expecting the same thing but they all played in a U21 on Monday evening so I am assuming they're tired.

I'd genuinely love to know how often you've watched Giggs these past few years in central midfield if you believe his passing in this game is the exception rather than the norm (in terms of his passing).

His penchant for killer passes is notorious at this stage and I feel people are only commenting on it now that his form in general is so poor. This facet of his game since he's moved infield is something I've always highlighted, and is not 'ridiculously harsh' at all.

He's a club legend of course, but let's not cover his deficiencies.

What are the permutations and combinations for Celtic to go through? Or are they already through?
