Great news. Gobs of games coming up. I'm still interested in learning exactly how Fergie intends to use him.

would be great to see this lad get into his stride for the season. he is real quality and different to what we have at the moment.

Great timing for him to return. Especially now that Anderson is down for a long period, we need his creativity through the middle even more. Hopefully we don't rush him back and he gets into some good form over the Xmas period.

Thought Ando was out for 2-3 weeks? How long has it been confirmed out for?

No idea, I heard it was a hamstring problem so just assumed it would be a while. Don't they usually take 4 or so weeks to return to training?

To the tune of Radio Ga Ga (you know where this is going...)

All we need is Shinji Kagawa

Doesn't really work if you pronounce his surname properly...

Ah right, should've been able to work that out for myself to be fair.

After last night, I do wonder how we are going to use him. I have made all those crazy formations with him or Rooney on the left but I like this 4-2-3-1 and Rooney is best as a the central player in the 3. Width and fullback cover is also very important in our style of play. It would be interesting to see how Fergie plans to utilize him and fit in our system.

Think he's going to find it difficult to break into the team at this moment. Particularly with Rooney on a scoring run, I don't think we should disrupt anything.

ALL WE NEED IS...SHINJI KAGAWA. Looking forward to having him back

With Rooney on the pitch I would've said Kagawa's best position is on the left. But Young's made that position his own at the moment, he deserves a run there. And Rooney is too good in his current role to risk upsetting that. So it's unfortunate timing for Kagawa. Not too bad though, there are more than enough games coming up for everyone to get their share.

I have no problem at all with him starting ahead of Valencia at the moment, perhaps with Young going to the right. That said, I don;t think we need to throw him straight back into the line-up yet, so I'll keep Tony in for now anyway and give him a chance to pick up.

Play him on the left as an inside forward

He can easily take Young or Valencia's place as a narrow winger. Was it against Spurs in the second half that he played out on the left? He did very well there if I remember correctly.

I was thinking the same thing, he can easily drift inside from the left wing if needed. To be fair to Young though he's been playing quite well the past few games.

Right now you have to say that Valencia is in serious danger of losing his spot.

You think? I can't recall many times where he has. SAF regards him very highly and it's not like we've many other wing options. I reckon he'll stick with him and hope he hits form.

I think there's a big chance that a fit Kagawa will play left forward and Young will be used on the right, especially if Valencia can't find any form.

Think is with Valencia, he works hard and protects Rafael quite a bit. Not sure if Kagawa will work as hard to help the full backs.

Can't wait till we get this little wizard back into our team as well.

Vidic, Anderson, Kagawa and Nani still got to come back yet into a team that just beat City away.

Wow.

Kagawa's hardly been in sparkling form this season either. He's had a few good performances and a lot that show him for what he is: a very talented player trying to get to grips with the game in England, which is a radical departure for him. I don't think we'll see anything like his best before next season.

While Young has done well in recent games and especially yesterday and his partnership with Evra is looking very healthy, I dont see any reason why Kagawa cant do the same. The main part will be tracking back with the same apetite that Young did yesterday. If he shows he can do that then what would we miss from Young?

On the other side it would be interesting to see how Young compares with Valencia.

You have to judge Young at his best though, which he still wasn't near yesterday. He can be really useful when he's on song.

Still, from what I've seen of Kagawa I'd rather have him starting most games.

Disagree.

The sooner Kagawa gets used to the PL, the better. This is no time to start relaxing. If we can get Kagawa to play like he did in Dortmund, then we become pretty much invincible. At least in the PL.
