Berbatov | Fulham player

I am quite pissed so I could be wrong but I don't think it's solely down to him. But his style of play certainly doesn't suit a game like that. Then again I thought Ruiz was much worse as he actively went hiding

Ruiz struggled largely because we were able to play up with a high line for a change (having 2 really pacey centre halves helped there) and so he had no space to deal with. Because the entire team is built around Berbatov and so they lack anyone with a bit of movement to play on the shoulder of the last defender, it was all just relatively easy. I thought Rodallega may give us a bit of a test but he was rubbish as well.

Can we all just agree at least that Steve Sidwell took the concept of being rubbish to a whole new level?

He likes to play too much football sometimes, and you can't do that with the players fulham have got. He is involved too much into passing for a striker, I know that's his style of play, but they don't need striker who will have more touches than any of their midfielders, and not making any runs behind the defence, they don't have anyone to feed most of the time. Ruiz is his partner, but I don't think he can fill gap in attack when Berba drops into midfield, it's evident Ruiz isn't a striker.

Today they actually kept possesion very well, better than us, but they created nothing. Zombie passing and shit.

Looking at him amble around over the last few weeks makes me delighted he no longer plays for us.

Easily the most frustrating player I can recall playing for Utd.

And yet 2 or 3 moments yesterday showed his class. But nowhere near enough effort.

TBF he needs the players around him to be on his wavelength which Fulham clearly weren't.However I'm glad he's moved on

He chose to go to Fulham, so he had to have been prepared to play with a few average players.

I think he felt he would be in for a handy mid table season with little or no pressure, but he could well find himself in a relegation scrap.

Unfortunately not. I don't like him or his attitude no matter how many lovely words he says to journalists. I can say it openly now he has gone. Waste of space who gets afforded too much leniency because he has a good touch. Most players could achieve similar things if they stood around not arsed all game.

There was nothing wrong with his performance or his "work-rate", for me. Can't believe how much the commentators went on about his work-rate when he won the ball off Smalling and Jones a couple of times, consistently made himself available for the ball only for a team-mate to feck up and made a number of runs in behind our defence. While Berbatov was doing this Ruiz was too busy swanning about looking at his hair. I did think Berbatov's attitude was very poor though. So much histrionics.

you think most players would have the same skill on the ball as Berba, am I reading this correctly?

A lot of players have a brilliant touch including several on our own team. We bought one bloke in the summer and he works his arse off at the same time. He could look a lot more like Berbatov if he moped around moaning at everyone or stood still every time he plays a pass, but I doubt he'd have 20 goals or start every week.

Personally I loved watching him play, it was effortless . He wasn't nearly as bad as you make out . I often wonder what makes a Manchester United fan hate a Manchester United player , he was a model player for us but couldn't seem to do anything right for some people. Just as well we had him when Rooney was having his strop, we wouldn't have got so many points that season without, that's for sure , and we should be grateful to him for that alone

It was effortless indeed.

Look, I don't hate the bloke. I don't know him. But he used to annoy me on the pitch at times and even more so at Fulham. I don't think Rooney being a dickhead makes Berbatov a hero, he was simply doing what he was paid to do. As much blame goes to Ferguson for not forseeing any problems we might have fitting him into a system here. I shouldn't have called him an arsehole, and for that I am sorry

He'd piss me off if I was a Fulham fan. His whinging at others for misplaced passes or simply not passing to him has been taken to extreme new heights.

You'd forgive it if he was Ronaldo and winning games single handedly for you but he's not. Not even close.

Infact but for his hissy fits and occasional moments of exceptional skill you wouldn't notice him.

I'm one of his biggest fans but his attitude was out of order at times yesterday.

Generally I have no problem with that, to a reasonable extent, cause it only means he wants and knows that his teammates can do better. The argument that he chose Fulham hence he had to bear in mind they're mediocre to decent isn't valid. Just because he plays for an average team doesn't mean he shouldn't intent to change that or at least slightly improve those around him.

He should take other means for that, though, as I said - he was out of order yesterday.

Had recorded the game and watched it again this morning, the announcers were quite quick to point out the good things Berbatov did, but also quite quick to point out the times he strolled around the field instead of getting involved in some of the attacks Fulham had.

His constant moaning at other players, when at times he failed to do his job, is getting ridiculous.

I'll repeat myself for the last time about Dimitar Berbatov:

What a waste of world class football talent. Had he put in 75% effort that even Danny Welbeck, who has about 1% the talent of Berbatov, puts in every single game, Berbatov would be one of the legends of his generation, right up there with Ibrahimovic. But for whatever reason, he shows no heart and no real interest in whether his side wins or loses the game.

I don't think I would have appreciated to be his teammate ever, a lot of bitching and moaning. We get it that he's a lot better than his teammates, wouldn't it be better if he was encouraging them instead of throwing hissy fits whenever one fecks things up

If he put more effort into his performances and had a better attitude he would have been wearing red yesterday.

In saying that he will be their danger man next weekend. And if he gets space he might punish us.

The jizz fest over his first touch makes me laugh. He is not a juggler or trickster at a freaking circus. He is a footballer, who job is more than controlling the ball with his first touch.

Although it's ludicrous to say that Welbeck has only 1% of the talent that Berba possess but I agree that even at 50% of Danny's effort, Berba would have been a phenomenal striker.

For once Craig burley was spot on, when he mentioned his great touch and pass, but then just stood there almost admiring it rather than getting into the box.

He used to do that for us all the time, and it used to drive me insane.

Same here. Would make a terrific pass setting up an attack and then he would just amble forward.

You'd think as a striker he would want to get on the end of the attack and score a goal but for Berba it was almost as if he had done his bit and that was enough.

One of the most non-sense posts I have ever read.

Berbatov is so cool he can even pull off a 'Keep Calm' slogan. All other people who have tried are terrible c**ts.
