I can confirm that all members of the first team squad do indeed have two feet each.
Can't believe a few people have said scuffed the first one. It reminded me of a Giggs goal at Craven cottage in 06/07 - clearly meant to hit it with the outside of his foot.
He was excellent today, worked well with Rooney and hopefully he can kick on for the rest of the season. I don't think that performance has changed Fergies mind about the Madrid game, I reckon he was always going to start.

I think he fooled the keeper with his first 2 goals today.
Third was made by a majestic first touch that put him clear of everyone. Third goal was the best today, most players would have taken a touch to control the ball, yet he pushed it into the space. His brain is always razor sharp.

Shinji Kagawa: Yet another outstanding acquisition for United.
He may not be a regular starter for us yet, but he's definitely a player who is capable of making a huge impact for us as a starter and may well be a key player for us if we good deep into the CL knockout rounds.
We've bee concerned all season about Kagawa and Rooney occupying the same space in the squad but once we got rid of Ando in the second half it really all did come together very nicely for both Kags and Roo.

That Giggs goal was one of his best ever. I saw it before on the BBC section on him. Deliberately sliced across the ball because of the angle being against him.
I thought for the first time he really left his own mark in the game. He was our main reason we tried quick ine touch passing and he inspired our whole team. Hes a wonderful little player and scoted an excellent hattrick
Exactly. If Giggs scuffed that one, what was he actually trying to do? You can watch it in slow motion and see it's exactly what he meant and I reckon the same goes for Kagawabunga.

He just passed the ball into the net twice, especially his second was extremely cool. He's amazing and will be a great asset to the team. It literally takes him 0.1 seconds to decide what he's going to do.
He was generally class, our best player along with Carrick even if you don't count the goals
What do you reckon, could Kagawa on the left work in tandem with Rooney/RvP? A feasible option as our strongest XI?
I see absolutely no reason why not.
It'll be interesting to see him there in a game where the opposition are showing a bit of ambition with the fullbacks though.

That didnt come off his shin. He meant it.
He's not a line hugger like Valencia or even Nani, so looking at his initial positioning isn't really going to give a fair assessment. What he does is he supports the attack well, at the cost of not providing enough width. Which is okay as long as he can find space to connect with others.

I've watched that Giggs goal about twenty times now and I can't decide whether it's boot or shin.
If I had to plump for one I'd say shin, but it's certainly not 'halfway up' it.

Look at the spin on the ball.. It wasnt a case of bouncing off his shin.. He sliced through it.

That just shows exactly how good Shinji is. He's left footed but has a stronger right foot, incredible really.
In Japan it's considered boastful to use your stronger foot, so he hasn't used his right much. However, that resulted in his left becoming so good that politeness forced him to return to his right, as we saw today.
I'm quite surprised at people saying he meant to put his first where he did. When I watched it live in the pub it looked for all the world a miskick.
I too am shocked. Before the game I positioned a tank of dirty water in the eye-line between myself and my broken TV, turned on my smoke machine, set off a flash-bang and maced myself; when I subsequently saw the goal it looked for all the world like a miskick I swear.
Nah, baseball is crazy over there. The fact that you can use his first name Ichiro and everyone will know who you are talking about emphasises that.
Kagawa will do well to rise the Nakata level of profile before seriously challenging the baseball superstars
