Chelsea vs. Manchester United

I think we are doing well all things considered especially looking at our starting
11. We've better attacking options on the bench as well.

Early morning matches are always like this. People need to chill out and stop being so fecking dramatic. Since when does Fergie substitute players after 20mins???:wenger:

I say we go for 4-3-3 get Cleverley back in centre midfield where he is actually good (short passes down the left flank ain't working) and sub off Nani for RVP. Welbeck, Chico and Van Persie are clever enough to make that forward 3 combo work.

I still don't know what Cleverley's doing playing wide left when we have a fully rested Giggs on the bench.

True. We've got Nani in almost a free role. If he can't contribute, at least he'd be better on the left wing than Cleverly

You guys can't wait to get at Nani.

They can't, they really, really can't.

For about a month before his injury all these gimps were keeping their mouths firmly shut but as soon as he has 20 crap minutes of football after literally coming back from a hamstring injury they are all over him again. It's unbelievable.

You must be watching the wrong match then

He's lost the ball at least 7 times and made 2 successful passes

But I wouldn't take him off either on that basis. He has the ability to produce something special.

Clevs on the other hand has been tidy enough without ever offering anything in attack. With Young on the bench at least we've got options

Welbeck has been great until the usual nose bleed area. Slipping and mistimed passes at the vital time. We looked better at the end there.

Indeed. Just like that time he slipped a ball through to Cleverley in behind the defence for our best chance of the game. A better ball and that was a goal.

One day, Roy will snap and kill the other 3.

Perhaps because hes been shit.

Misplaced pass. Misplaced pass. Misplaced pass. Shot from outside the box (que BPITW) Misplaced pass. Misplaced pass.

That Hernandez shot was something special. It took an eternity to reach Cech.

Keane rightly pointing out that it wasn't that difficult a shot and Chiles trying desperately to defend Cech.

I can't believe that.Regulation save really and he made itlook as though Ronaldo hit it

Didnt think Nani was too bad. Match day threads being fun as always.
He was bad to start with, but has slowly started to come into the game. If he comes out at HT he should play much better in the second

Saying Nani is having a poor game isn't criticising/hating him as a footballer/person.

The two are mutually exclusive.

what min will VP be on?
65th I reckon. For Hernandez

Jones and Welbeck are playing pretty well.

Nani isn't playing too well, but he's the type who'll have spells like that, as playing well for him isn't just simple passes and tackles. You have to allow it with flair players.

He's probably the most likely to create something.

This

The way Ivanovich got done for pace I would have thought to exploit that more.

You mean Welbeck's run? He didn't really get done for pace, he defended well and just managed to get ahead of Welbz with a mixture of pace and muscle.

Young and Valencia have been ripped apart time and time again, at times also coming back from injury.

Relax. Nani has been shit today but I don't see anyone calling for his head.

Most of our team have been shit, but the comments about him here have gone far beyond his performance. Telling him to feck off, calling for him to be taken off, to be sold. It's mental.

Also, fecking betfair need a new advert... it's been almost a year now, do I have to be reminded about that Everton 4-4 game everytime I watch football on television?!

& evefryone else has been faultless?

did you see what I did there?

Well he's been our worst player IMO.

So no, not faultless, but better.

Welbeck and Carrick played very well in the first half and were stand out performers from United. Nani looks a bit rusty coming back from injury. Cleverley appeared second best in multiple physical duels. Our defense looks relatively solid despite Valencia playing at right back. Hopefully, we'll keep our defensive shape intact for the second half and improve our attack by introducing Van Persie into the match around the 60 minute mark.

is this not what the matchday thread is all about, if he is shit say so, the second half he could be outstanding and them all the haters will go quite.

I don't think I have ever seen a match day thread were some are not calling for Fergie to make changes after 10 mins. It never fails to make me laugh.

But it's never exclusive to Nani.

Relax. Nani has been shit today but I don't see anyone calling for his head.

It took six months of shit performances from Valencia for him to get anywhere near that sort of reaction.

It's funny how the Nani fanbois are quick to get their knives out when Young or Valencia have poor games yet throw a sissy-fit when anyone dares to suggest Nani hasn't had the best game in the world.

And it's always the usual suspects like Orton, China, Colin etc. Good thing I'm Always Right doesn't read these match day threads.

Yea that one, a couple more yards on the ball and Welbeck had him on toast.

it's that and Aguero's title winning goal that I continue to see week in week out.
I bet 10 bucks you won't see that many commercials or videos when/if we win it.
