Fergie will definitely have the team fired up for this. How could they not be after the 6-1 last season? Anyone who thinks differently is either a wum or a mentalist.
IIRC Vida and Evans are out, Rooney, Rafael doubtful, wingers out of form, Van Persie and Wellbeck cant score in brothel in the moment. That leaves us with a midfiled of Carrick and Cleverley and i dont have much hope in them coping with Citys midfield.
Sunny Jim lol WTF time for a name change!

People are not worried about this match? I'm already nervous about this and will be much worse tomorrow. A loss would just prolong the title battle even more and we don't want to give City any hope at all. And I'm quite sure we'll have Vidic, Rafael and Rooney fit for this. Win/Draw for me.
Haha, no im not all that gloom and doom. Im just realistic about this particular game. :-)
Why wouldn't Cleverley and Carrick match City's midfield? Carrick's been better than any of City midfielders this season and Cleverley is at least on par with anyone they got except Toure who has been awfully inconsistent this season.
It's not really a key game or anything, City need to be careful if anything because a loss here would put them in a tricky position regarding top 4 battle - it's a long shot but the way they've been playing this season they could soon find themselves only 2-3 points ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs with a couple of bad results.

I'd go with:
DDG
Rafael - Rio - Vidic - Evra
Carrick - Cleverley
Welbeck - Rooney - Kagawa
RVP
I think it's important that we attack positively as we did at the Ethiad, and with the likes of Welbeck, Cleverley and Kagawa in there, we have players who will provide us with that bit of energy further forward , as well as being capable to cause City problems with the ball.
On a side note, I bought a new toy last week, which will hopefully improve the atmosphere if I decide to bring it.
Perfect line-up. City are no great shakes, and we should be looking to hit them like a runaway freight train. No cautious defensive selections, Jones man-marking jobs or tactical anarchy please Fergie.
would love to see that except for perhaps Nani in there on the wings but Fergie will most likely go with his big game lineup - He'd love a win but will take a draw.
DDG
Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Carrick - Jones
Valencia - Rooney - Welbeck
Van Persie
Valencia and Welbeck for their work rate and Jones based on his performance v Chelsea. Cleverley worked hard last game but picked up a yellow and was outshone by Jones so Im going with Jones based on Fergie going on current form. If we are chasing the game we can sub Giggs or Clev on to help push up.
"Vidic remains a doubt"...or so we are led to believe.
If Vidic is indeed out, it's going to be tough keeping a clean on these fukks. This would be a good occasion for RvP to break out of his funk.
Finding it hard to get enthused about this one.
