Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Just remembered Van Persie scored a penalty against us on that very same spot. Almost weird.

I think our defense hasn't looked overly organised (certainly the least organised it's looked in weeks), and both Rio and Evans have been guilty of their wonder hoofs... and Nani hasn't really done anything.

Defence doesn't look otherwise because the midfielders and the strikers have refused to keep the ball. It baffles me that our players lack the craft to play theirb way out of Arsenal's aggressive pressing. One smart pass from the back would put them into trouble.......

Where's Kagawa when you need him?

Le Saux on BBC:

"It was hard to see whether that was a penalty or not. Bacary Sagna came from behind and seemed to get the smallest of glances on the ball, but it was hard for the referee Phil Dowd to see that"

:lol::lol::lol:

Clear penalty or have the laws changed or something?

Rooney by far our worst player today. Though almost all our players have been shit.

Arsenal are a joke, though I still prefer them to renties for that UCL spot.

Rooney has been poor but he'll score a tap in to mask another below average display. Jones has had a couple of decent chances but has missed both headers pretty easily. I seem to remember him missing a fair few headed chances this year, something he could work on.

Nani's rinsed Sagna a few times, drew two fouls which he wasn't given and really should have been. He's definitely created some chances and been a constant threat.

The hoofs from Rio and Evans are frustrating, but defensively, they haven't been overley troubled, considering all of Arsenals early dominance.

Was a pen and actually has been a good match to watch to be honest. Been interesting to see us get back into it

Put a ball on van Persie's head from 3 yards out.

Valencia put one on Jones head, and so did RVP, I wouldn't say either have played well though.

I'd go as far as saying Nani has been less crap then everyone else, but really, he's probably just looked better because we've been incredibly drunk. In a normal game, I don't think you could class it as a "good" performance.

How behind is the bloodzeed stream
We've been shite though, refs been awful though. Only thing he got right was the stonewall pen, but that's about it.

Only seen one replay, but it looked like Sagna got a touch on the ball first, did he not?

Main points...

-Crap match
-Goal was offside
-Never a penalty
-That was a beauty of a pen by RVP
-Nani is our best winger by a mile

And finally...

-I never, ever, was to see Jonny Evans being a hard man again.

Look at the replay. It's an obvious penalty and Sagna never touched the ball in the incident which pretty clear in one of the replays where they zoomed in on the legs.

We've been pretty bloody awful, and yet it's the usual situation in terms of Arsenal being easy to creat chances against. On the balance of chances, we should be ahead.

I'd like to see some subs to freshen us up, as our intensity has been pretty poor.

Considering that SAF controls the FA from his secret underground lair, we don't half get some rubbish refs.

It was such a rash, ill-advised tackle that a twit like Dowd was always going to blow.

Why are you still using Bloodzeed? Havent you heard the word?

Ah fair enough lads, got that one wrong. Quite pleased actually, one less incident for our resident gooners to cry foul about. We'd have no doubt never have heard the end of it if Sagna had got the ball first.

If Nani does end up leaving, I really do want to hear the explanation from SAF. And not some generic reply about 'not being able to guarantee him enough games'.

Evans is a bag of nerves when pressed. Never seen a more clueless defender - he kept putting De Gea in tight spots with his unexpected back passes.

Phil Dowd as usual have been horrible - all the tackles Arsenal made in the first half and only Walcott was booked and Sagna for the pen. Arteta and Cazorla should have been booked as well.

If DDG conceded that Walcott last season, he would have been criticized for it no ? I'm not saying he should have been, just that he used to be last season for similar goals conceded

Even if Sagna did touch the ball, it's a tackle from behind in a box that goes through Van Persie's legs to get to it. It's a penalty regardless of any contact on the ball.
