Cerezo Osaka v Manchester United

The Japanese league has started for a while now while the A-League season hasn't even started, pretty sure that's why there's such a huge contrast in sharpness between them. Although the standard of football in A-League is pretty rubbish compared to the J-League.

I know all of that, I'm judging it from a United point of view in terms of who the most useful friendlies are against.

Great play.

Kagawa

how did we not score then. Welbecks hits the post, keeper standard as RVP centres the ball, only for kagawa to sky the bloody thing

NNNNOOOO!

Great team play results in Welbeck hitting the post with his LEFT foot from 20 yards, ball pings out right and RVP could put it away, but squares it to Kagawa who puts it high wide and handsome

Pace is way too slow. Hopefully its due to the heat and not a new future style.

considering the game has already stopped for a drinks break, I think it is down to the heat. Though things haven't been to slow in truth

Giggs

Good curling shot from Giggs and good save from the keeper. Great flick by Kagawa in the build up

Yep, and actual teams rather than thrown together XIs. This was my original point, people decided to tell me why the A-League players weren't fully fit though.

yeh its all well and good for marketing to say we are playing this leagues all stars, but in reality best to just try and line the friendly up with the top couple of teams instead

Surprised by that Kagawa miss, I know him to be a very good finisher. Hopefully this doesn't become a problem for him. He was pretty poor in that shooting practice video put up here a while ago.

Welbeck looks a different player.

Welbeck with another shot. Looked fairly dangerous when he got the ball as well. Promising signs

The heat, the travelling, not training on our own ground has a big effect, but getting the team together after the break, bonding with the new staff and the fitness gained are pluses. We'll get a better idea against Wigan in a couple of weeks.

We started playing after 35 minutes but played some nice stuff then. Welbeck looks up for it. Kagawa as well just that he missed that sitter
