Adnan Januzaj

I reckon Moyes has used him in pre-season to let him know that he's in his future plans, but will loan him out this season.

I hope not. I hope we feature him more this season by getting him coming on from the bench.

He's a joy to watch, honestly I would rather see him and Zaha on the wings than two out of Valencia, Nani and Young. Plus, we can hardly expect those latter 3 to improve greatly, for Januzaj the sky's the limit.

From what I've seen of him, he looks like he can play a role in the first team already. Always seems to have time on the ball. I think if we give him chances is season he won't look out of place.

Moyes seems to have a lot of faith in him and he does look like he could play a part

I hope if he stays he gets opportunities

So many people seem to have written Valencia off. Granted he was absolutely awful last season but the season before he was absolutely brilliant.

I'd rather believe he will replicate his 11/12 form rather than 12/13.

Well, from everything I've seen so far of him there's nothing to suggest that he will be replicating his 11/12 form. But I'd of course hope he will, I just can't see it right now.

Virtually nothing, you mean?

Personally, I'd like to see our senior wingers in top form and our talented youngsters pushing them.

I'm not saying that at all, I just mean Valencia at his best is still a known quantity. I'd love to see Valencia be our player of the season again.

He excites me the most from all of our youngsters. His touch is first class and he seems to have great vision. Really hope to see him more from him this season.

Pereira's hype is justified. He's an incredible talent.

He's a very talented player, but no more than Januzaj in my opinion.

I'm just saying that Pereira came in with more hype due to the availability of his highlights, not because he's the more talented player.

Giggs gave him the trophy to carry down and made sure he lifted it up, nice touch

It's a classic dilemma. But the way I look at it, there will be plenty of games for Adnan to feature in with the first team, provided he escapes injury. No loan.

Yeah, he'll get game time no problem. People forget just how long a season is, and by the looks of things United are going to be keeping up the grand tradition of getting perpetually fecked by injuries.

If we'd kept Pogba we'd have the most exciting young midfielder 3 in europe in Pereira, Januzaj, Pogba. Not to mention if Powell steps up his game.

Was a little worried about Adnans ability to step up due to his size, but his technical ability is just superb.

Didn't catch this game, but that's a great match comp. As far as I'm concerned he's earned the chance to either start or be first-choice sub (depending on how Moyes feels about Nani at the moment). I maintain that although he can play #10, he's better playmaking from a wide position and Rooney or Kagawa should still have the central job.

Granted there is only so much you draw from one compilation, but this kid looks immense. Januzaj, Zaha, the Da Silvas, Kagawa, Jones, Smalling and De Gea certainly give reason for great optimism.

They must be putting something in the water over there in Belgium.

They have some cracking talents at the moment.

What's Nani's status for the first game? If he's fit, I wouldn't object to Nani on the right, Januzaj on the left (it'd be exciting to watch, if nothing else.)

I don't think he will start the first game of the season, once all the regular guys are back he is going to find it tough to make the bench a lot of the time. Saying that I don't want him to go on loan, based on how he has played during preseason he looks like he can do a job for us in particular games and is, and in others get put on if we are winning fairly comfortably. The kid is in that no man's land right now, pushing to be amongst the first team, but possibly just not there yet. At a guess, next season could be his real break through season if he keeps improving.

I liked the cut of his jib when he came on, he had the same air of confidence as a young Macheda that fateful afternoon against Villa.

He's one of our best players, for God's sake.

How can you say this about an 18 year old who has never played a competitive senior game?

How did we bid £8m for Wayne Rooney while he was still playing youth football? Because somebody used his eyes.

At this stage, 'one of our most talented players' would be a safer statement, but I'll be surprised if he's not recognized as one of our best in the next season or two. Anyone who watches football should see he's got everything to be desired in a top player. Except adult strength - but he seems capable of handling the physical demands.

It's standard practice on the Caf to predict nothing until it's already come true. That way you'll never be wrong. But I think Januzaj is a safe bet.

I don't think he will be loaned out (Lingard might though), I think Moyes intends to use him and I think he will be given a chance and I think he deserves it. Hopefully he can contribute this season.

We all know how good Januzaj is, you've got no worries there. But he's got a long way to go before being our best player. You can't just make a statement like that and say everyone is too conservative for pulling you up on it

he did say "one of our best", he didn't say our best.

I bet there are a decent number of people who think he can be one of our best.

Well for starters I've never heard the £8M for Rooney story but ok, and fair play if you feel that way, I just think the guy you were quoting was closer to the mark, he's going to struggle to make the bench this season unless we are offloading a couple of players.

So I've heard many pronounciations of it, which is the correct one. I say Yan-oo-zay.

I don't think he'll struggle to make the bench. Fair enough we have a big squad and some players haven't been in contention yet, but he's a really talented kid and the fact that he ws put on the community shield bench shows you that he's in Moyes's thoughts.

You have to take into consideration that Young, Nani, Hernandez and Rooney were not fit though. On a regular Saturday I think he'll find it tough going to make the bench as good as he looks, but I'd love to see him do so.
