"Too easy AGAIN against the United back four"

Townsend is such a fecking moron. Leverkusen are a really good side and they've barely created all that much tonight. Nothing in the first half and then had a couple of chances in this second half, which you'd expect from any quality side. We've been good for the most part at the back.

Young? But we don't need someone to try get penalties for us tonight

Rio has been really poor though

Townsend's right, we really missed Rooney against Chelsea despite him getting Man of the Match

Would like Hernandez to come on now. Maybe get a goal, but also give RVP a little rest ahead of the derby.

You have a vendetta against him. Every time you post.

Give it a rest and accept his form is returning. Where you a Valencia fan 18 months ago?

No I was a Valencia fan in WC 2006 and he's been awful bar that cross to RVP, he hasn't produced another cross of note in 90 minutes.
Yes it is good to see him at least run at players again but this is Manchester United, we can't afford passengers and he is a passenger imo, every time the ball goes to him I expect the attack to break down 95% of the time... that is not what we need from a winger who plays for United. That said I don't think Kagawa was great shakes either today, but he's barely played for us this season, so will give him the benefit of the doubt.

He was our player of the season the season before last and you didn't rate him at all. But you did in 4 fairly uneventful Ecuador games in a WC?

Not that I agree with the moron Townsend, but Leverkusen really lacked structure in the offense. The reason for that? They missed/are missing the two players who are responsible for giving them structure and balance. Missing Castro was a blow to them, not being able to start Bender transformed that game into a must win game for United. If they want to have a chance to compete for the title, they need to be able to beat a side of the size of Leverkusen, which is missing their by far most influential player, at home.
