Come on, man, Leverkusen aren't one of the best teams in the Bundesliga.
They finished 3rd last season didn't they?

Yeah, behind the best teams in the Bundesliga.
You know, if we'd beaten Munich or Dortmund 4-2 then yeah I'd be excited; but Leverkusen? They're certainly not one of the best teams in the Bundesliga.

Yeah, why the feck would we be excited for scoring 4 past Leverkusen, they are Crystal Palace level, maybe even worse. When I think more about it, why would be excited with our any win except against the likes of Bayern, Real Madrid and few more.
As the matter of fact, why should we get excited by win against any team in the world, we are great Manchester United, who cares if we win games?
Congratulations on missing the point.

Doesn't seem to me like you were too excited about that win.
At first I thought the video was gonna be shit but it had me pissing myself in the end!
What have you done with Dedryck?!
Come on, man, Leverkusen aren't one of the best teams in the Bundesliga.
yes they are .
I don't know, it's kind of like saying that Chelsea aren't one of the best teams in the PL just because they finished 3rd last season. I don't see what Cider is getting at.
The best teams in the Bundesliga are Munich and Dortmund. Leverkusen are so far behind that it's ridiculous to call them one of the best.
We used to swat away teams like Leverkusen for fun in Europe it shouldn't be a cause for OTT celebrations.
Cider is right, Leverkusen are clearly miles behind the top two. They finished close to Dortmund last year (who had a disapponting domestic campaign) but didn't have the Champions League to contend with, unlike Dortmund who went all the way to the last. Benfica comfortably dealt with them in the Europa League round of 32, which probably indicates their current standing.
It was a good win against a good side but there are a lot of people getting wildly carried away as if we are suddenly a completely changed team who are going to rip everyone to shreds. Last season the competition was poor in the group stages, this year the standard is higher and that should encourage better performances from the players. We used to swat away teams like Leverkusen for fun in Europe it shouldn't be a cause for OTT celebrations. The best part for me was seeing the relief in Moyes' face and the schoolboy smile he maintained in his post-match comments. Big moment for him.
I'm not getting carried away until I see how we do against City, Liverpool and Shaktar. Plenty of big games coming up where the standard has to be maintained.
Not overly, no. It was a decent result but they're clearly not one of the best teams in the Bundesliga.
You feel like that when we beat the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham(looking just by their quality, not rivalry)?
I really, really want us to start Januzaj.
We wont though...and for many good reasons. I'd just be interested to see how he would do dropped into a game like that.
No, but they were clearley level behind top teams in England last two years.
Yet clearly better than Bayern Leverkusen. Beating Arsenal has become somewhat routine anyway and doesn't carry the same excitement as it used to tbh.
Yeah, I would agree with last part, it's not as it used to be, but it's still great feeling.
2002...![]()
Where?
Ahem. That one still rankles to this day. A Diego Placente headed clearance off the line was all that denied us the final Europe wanted to see.
Forlan was talking about it recently. As Wes Brown was hauled off Ferguson's instructions were simple...."Score son." His first chance was a ball that he controlled on his chest and volleyed back over Hans-Jorg Butt, a great effort, but Placente was there the lankey haired bastard. It would have been Forlan's first goal for United.
It was the last chance of the game. Gutted.
man, that game
damn ballack.
we also had another goal denied by another goal line clearance, from RVN if i am not mistaken. at least more than half of the ball was over the line.
