Manchester City vs. Manchester United

We have such a lack in technical ability in the team, its no wonder the better teams keep beating us.

This sums up my thoughts perfectly.

We need someone to hold the ball up and let us get out. Also we need to gap the plugs in the middle of the park. Augero and Nasri are running amock as our two full backs don't know whether to go or stay.

Some players have been very poor but main problem is how we are playing as a unit.

If there have been no changes made during half time I'll rather study for my exams than watch another 45 mins of that. First time I put my studies ahead of United since I joined the caf but I really can't be bothered watching this.

As soon as RVP was out it was the perfect time to stick Kagawa behind Rooney and go for it. Instead we got Bambi Welbeck falling over inside 20 seconds.

Honestly losing the goal right before the 2nd half is the absolute killer.

We've been very poor today in terms of energy and desire. We have none! citeh have come out with energy and we have suffered as a result.

Valencia is just terrible to be honest. He can't even defend well anymore. Not tracking kolorov really is the final nail in the coffin for him in my opinion. What else is he on the pitch for if not to make us better defensively!?

Young is also devoid of any creative ability on the left wing. Neither of our wingers have even attempted to take on a player or make a run behind the defence.

This team really is lacking in energy, desire and has no idea how to attack at all. In some ways Moyes is to blame and needs to realize that we are not a defensive team. We need to attack and it scares me to think that Moyes doesn't know how to fix this. His constant selection of Valencia and Young really highlights this.

Terrible time to concede a goal, especially one that puts you 2-0 down.

5 games into the league season and we havent scored in open play since the first day. Is this acceptable?

I wouldn't care if we scored from Joe Hart's arse, just score and fecking create something. 1 shot off target in total is just diabolical. We need a dribbling winger on, strech their defensive line.

Absolutely not and you have to wonder if this is a direct result of our tactics and instructions from the manager. Are we too negative? If so, Moyes needs to realize this is Manchester United and not everton. We take gambles and try to score goals. Having said that, we weren't that great last season either and really the personnel are more to blame.

Guys like Valencia and Young are just not good enough. We are playing like robots out there and have 1 shot on goal! 1!!! I hope things change for the better in the second half but this is like a reversal of last years match where we led by 2 at the half. Unfortunately, I don't see us coming back like citeh did last year.

Think about the opening 5 games...anything unusual about the teams faced?

Let's see if it's the same situation in the next 5 before moaning

I've haven't sunk to the levels of hoping our players badly yet so I've got a bit to go before I sunk to the levels of talking shit that you muster.

You're a true fan. Well done. I feel so embarrassed that I hoped Ashley Young would play poorly against the mighty Crystal Palace at home. How dare I.

Apparently it is. We were 2 points up on what we had from these fixtures (before today) than we were last season apparently. I don't know what that means but apparently it's meaningful.

After today (assuming the 11 players out there don't wake up) I make it 1 point down from the same fixtures last season? Do we still have to be positive about everything, or is it only one point less?

nani aside, that's all we've got though.

the side was crying out for a winger in the summer. zaha has potential, but he's not ready yet.

januzaj is surely a better option than those two shithouses on the wings today.

Maybe Zaha is not ready yet, but he never will be if he persists with Young and Valencia. The only way he will get better is playing. I definitely agree about Januzaj.

Bingo! The hairy Belgian should be Carrick replacment not partner. Good player and that but. We should ve signed somene to partner Carrick.
Fellaini and Carrick as a midfield two isn't great. The only way I could see it working is if we had actually signed Fabregas and went with the three of them. They're both sitting on the halfway line and the gap between them and the forwards is huge.

City's movement off the ball and short passing into feet is probably the best in the league. Really brings out the contrast in styles.

Young has to be hauled off the pitch. He also needs to start getting Felliani to do his only fecking job properly by imposing himself in midfield. I've not seem him muscle anyone out of the ball in the middle.

Dont understand the complaining about the line up. Its the same kind of team we've put out for years. People just want to have a pop at Moyes for some reason. Its a shame our fans are just waiting to jump on him.

City aren't even playing that well which makes things worse. Still, we sort of kept the ball for the last 15min of the half, there's a chance.

They are fine to just sit there but neither can break forward like Toure.

For fecks sake, no changes! Unbelievable.

Hopefully Moyes will learn from that and stop using Young and Val at the same time again. Same goes for Welbeck btw who, after a good start, has been very underwhelming since then.
