Must win game, but I have a feeling that Sunderland will make it extremely tough and we'll knick it 1-2. I hope I'm wrong and we thump them though.

Must win. A draw will not be good enough.
DDG
Rafael Vidic Smalling Fabio
----Carrick--Fellaini------
-Nani----Rooney----Januzaj
-------RVP----------------

I know we will not get janu and fabio as starters, but that is what I would want.

De Gea

Rafael Evans Smalling Evra

Carrick Cleverley

Nani Rooney Kagawa

Van Persie

Adnan, Chicharito and Welbeck to come on second half depending on result and performance. It is a must win game, a draw will be shit.

I'll be happy with a draw to be fair, Sunderland is a tough place to go and they're going through a managerial change which will put a lot of faith and spirit into their players. They have some talent in their squad as well so in the end a 1-1 wouldn't exactly be a bad result there.

A draw would not be a good result. We need to start picking up maximum points while we're on a run of fixtures that we can win.

I can see this one ending in a draw but don't see any reason to be happy about it. Liverpool and Arsenal have already gone there and won. They haven't yet decided on a manager. We should be winning this.

Excuses in early? how can you be happy with a draw away to the bottom side? :p

That being said it is probably the worst time United could possibly go, after a long away trip to Ukraine and just as they are changing managers, but I still expect United to win this something like 0-2.

A draw will be a good result? Have you seen our league position? A draw will be a terrible result. We've got to win this.

De Gea
Rafael--Smalling--Vidic--Evra
Carrick--Cleverley
Nani--Rooney--Welbeck/Kagawa
van Persie

Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Valencia, Fellaini, Januzaj, Kagawa, Hernandez

Van Persie Rooney

Never look past the Formula :smirk:

Rafael===Smalling===Vidic===Evra
Valencia===Carrick===Cleverley===Nani
Kagawa
RVP
Rooney off the bench if needed, Fellaini likewise if Cleverley starts to fade or if we're somehow comfortable enough to bring Carrick off early. Evans would also get my blessing at centre-half, but I'd like to give a defence a bit of time together so keeping the Shaktner back five would be beneficial I feel.

In reality I expect we'll start with Jones, Rio, Rooney and Fellaini.

I like the look of that team, when we have the ball at least. The problem we have is that defensively we can be cut open far too easily when it's just a two man CM, it's a massive concern that Fellaini doesn't look capable of solving. We got away with it last year due to RVP being unstoppable, let's pray our attacking prowess gets us through again this year.

ATTACK!!

Anything less than a win would be extremely damaging to our league campaign at this stage.

We simply have to win this. I don't even care about the performance really at this point, a shit 1-0 win from a set-piece will do. We need to get a few wins to get the confidence back. Smalling-Vidic was good against Shakhtar so I hope they play again.

If moyes really doesn't like Kagawa, then put januzaj there, give him a start. Last game before the international break so we really need a good performance, as well as a win.

Oh ye of little faith. You're a good enough team to beat this current Sunderland squad.

I see the Moyes factor has settled well with you. A draw against Sunderland would be a disaster.

It wouldn't be a disaster by any means. They're a decent side, they've been off form this season but I struggle to recall a time when a visit over there would be easy. We struggled there in each of the last 3 seasons, City have lost there twice in a row recently.

Apart from potentially falling 10 points behind Arsenal after just 7 games? We need a run of 8 or 9 straight wins starting from now.

We don't need to look at other teams, we need to worry about ourselves first. There's no chance we'll go on a 8-game winning streak so we may as well forget about it, if we can be within touching distance off top 3 (less than 8 points behind 3rd) by the turn of year I'll be delighted.

?

A draw will be a bad result. We're in a situation where draws away from home aren't good results, especially to the likes of Sunderland. My fear is the new manager effect, but I'm starting to think they won't have a manager in place for Saturday unless I've missed something.

Are you insane?

I say 4-0 Sunderland. RVP to get injured for 3 months, Kagawa to be left out of the squad and Rooney to put in another transfer request after the game. The Caf will then die, forever.

You'll see. Avram Moyes will play for the draw again and it will backfire again.

Our last 7 visits over there have led to 6 wins and 1 draw. They have no manager and are bottom of the league table. They just let in 3 against Liverpool in the first match after losing their manager. Seriously, if a draw is acceptable here then we might as well say a draw away from home against any team in the league is a decent result.
