So will he start against the Stoke thugs? Moyes may go for size and strength with Smalling, Rio, Vidic, Fellaini, Rooney etc.
My gut feeling is that he won't start against Stoke, yet unless he is particularly fatigued from the CL i'd want to Moyes seize upon that performance and field him at the weekend.
Additionally it will be interesting to see if Rooney plays in a deeper role again or not, as we won't see the same results as midweek if the team adopts an approach closer to that of previous league matches.
You should choose more carefully whom to listen to, then.I agree. I've heard lots of people say that Nani doesn't track back.
Actually his average position in the match was higher up the pitch then anyone else on united, apart from young (because he played like 10 minutes though). Hernandez's average position was where you'd expect Rooneys to have been.Rooney played the deeper role for the majority of the game midweek.
GiggsImagine for Moyes (not saying it's the case) it's between Januzay and Kagawa vs Stoke ? Who would you choose ?
I think Kagawa. He is much lower on confidence and he would need the boost of playing 2 games in a row to keep his spirits up. Dropping him after 1 of his best performances would just cause more damage.
Januzaj on the other hand will be more understanding, he is young and has played plenty of football already, and will more than likely start against Norwich.
To be fair though either player deserve it, my bet is Young will start over both![]()
I think whether Moyes plays Kagawa or not will give us some insight into him as a manager.Players must be given the opportunity to follow up a good performance. It is positive for the player and allows that player to build some momentum and confidence and if he fails then he knows he has to improve. It also sends a message to other players.Play well and you will be rewarded. This is a game for me that needs to have Rooney and Kagawa start.Rvp may need to rest his niggles but even if fully fit i would start Robin from the bench.
Those four I hope to start.I have a feeling they will.To be fair though Januzaj has not put a step wrong, why should he be punished because 1 other has played well?. Perhaps Nani will be benched, or maybe even Kagawa, Januzaj, Nani and Rooney all together.
I guess we will find out.
Should that only apply to Kagawa or should Valencia get the chance to continue some good form from Wednesday?I think whether Moyes plays Kagawa or not will give us some insight into him as a manager.Players must be given the opportunity to follow up a good performance.
Can we play them both? Januzaj AMR, Kagawa AML?

Still don't like him on the left, leaves Evra way too isolated on that flank and he plays too conservatively on the flank in contrast to when he's in the hole.
Yep. He shouldn't play on the left, especially because Moyes wants his backs pushing up so much
If he is persistently played there, I can only see him going one way at this club and that is out the door.
Defense is not emphasized in Germany the way it is in England. He's not used to it. Maybe he can adapt, maybe not.
You all do realise he was excellent against sociedad from the left right? He was shit today no excuses.
