He's sure to start in the CL, probably alongside Giggs. He needs games before he can be judged fairly.
Standing up for young Adnan was class. Adnan didn't look like he needed him though. Straight back up, sticking his head in at Riether, the nasty little cnut.
The best thing he did for me was how he backed up Adnan. Was fantastic to see.
Great game and the way he handled situation after Richter's stomp on Januzaj's leg was 100% in United team spirit.
Good lad. Will be definitely useful. He knows how to create chaos in opponent's box.
Better from him but he needs to start showing himself for the ball! Him and Jones was atrocious in the first 20-25 minutes of the second half in that aspect, not helped by Smalling replacing Evans. We couldn't pass water for the start of that half.
The whole team shaped changed. I am with Jim above though - not really much there to say 'great performance' he was decent, didn't do too much wrong.
What? You think he had a great game??
Still offers very, very little as a passer.
He played one lovely pass, straight through their midfield to Januzaj who was near the box. Was a shame that Januzaj was closed down quickly.I think that is very harsh (ie very wrong) given that he played quite a few quick accurate passes that launched attacks and was very economical where many more lauded players were giving it away very cheaply.
He still has a lot of improving to do, but people seem to be bringing criticisms from previous games into this one without any real basis apart from personal bias against the player.
What part exactly is wrong? Fellaini has always been one of my least favourite players, united buying him doesn't suddenly make him a saint or some talented player. He's not very good, simple as. Me not liking fellaini makes me one of the fans who were booing. feck off. I never turned on him, I just never liked him and was constantly saying I hope we don't get him, that I'd rather get nobody because I thought he'd be a huge waste of money and wouldn't fit in at all. I even said he isn't any better then cleverley in a midfield 2 and people laughed, but now it's accepted on here that fellaini is 3rd or 4th choice. I don't need to see him play for united to form an opinion on him, he's been in the premier league since like 2008.
Have we ever signed somebody before that you didnt think was good enough to improve us, or that ever proved your initial opinion wrong?
Carrick in 06? many people opposed that one in a summer chelsea signed shevchenko and ballack
Evra and Vidic after their first few games?
Lots of peopl thought van persie wasnt what we needed despite him being good?
anybody?
The fact is he has started i think 3 games for us and you have decided moyes needs to write him off now. Its bizarre and typical of a modern fan. theres countless players the world over who have had shocking entire first seasons with clubs only to improve, let alone 3 games. He's wearing the united shirt, maybe support him a bit longer.

Obviously there's been times but IMO all of those players I either haven't seen before they came to United, or didn't pay attention to them(Evra or Vidic), or they were clearly talented and just needed time like Carrick, or were clearly world class like Van Persie. Most times when we spent a large amount of money, the players were usually really talented and when it didn't work out like Berba or Veron, it was because they didn't fit in rather then them not being good enough which I think is the case for Fellaini. I think he'll be good cover here and good as a squad member, but we should not have spent 30million for someone who is a squad player at best. I'll support him but I don't have to like him, and I'd prefer to see others start over him, and he may turn out to be class for all I know but based on how he was for Everton the past 5 years and the little bit here, I don't think he'll ever be considered a key player. He was good for Everton, but that's because he was basically the main player there so they played to his strengths which resulted in a lot of long balls and him playing as an attacking midfielder so that he can knock them down.
Also how did he play overall today? I only watched first 30 minutes of the game then had to go write an exam so missed the second half.
he did well, came on as part of a triple substitution and we were all at sea for the first 20 minutes. he was tidy in possession and worked hard, certainly looked like he was trying to prove people wrong. he'll be a good player for us, im sure of it and will start in midweek. i saw him as a limited player at everton and while hes been underwhelming hes better on the ball than i thought.

But where to play him? He's not what I'd call a classic "utility" player and he's certainly not an accomplished defensive midfielder, though he might in time. He's all right at linking play but he's not the quickest to recover once the ball is lost, and you need your link players to fill the role of ball winner as well. He's still pretty much an unknown quantity at United but Moyes must have some idea where he wants him to play the majority of his game time.
Some people here would consider a successful 2 meter pass as a massive achievement.
He played good. People have responded by saying he played good. The feck is wrong with that?

Lost? Yet another cretinous post from you. I doubt you even watched the game.He seemed lost at times and he played it safe. Some of the red tinted posts here are a bit embarassing to be honest. FFS just a 10 years ago we had Scholes and Keane in their prime and now we're all excited about having a midfielder capable of passing a successful 2 meter pass.
He wasn't shit. However saying that he was good is pushing it too much.

I'm being a bit pedantic here, but Barcelona played the best football in the history of the sport by completing 2 meter passes.
Ahh top red alert
Yeah Fellaini was fantastic today. Those incisive through balls and that dribbling in CM was simply breathtaking. It reminded me of a hybrid between Paul Scholes and Maradona to be honest. Lets forget that Fulham only got truly dangerous in the second half
If you ask me about his performance, well he was decent. The plus side is that he kept it simple which considering that he's a player with great limitation in terms of passing skills its a good thing to do. However reading some posts in here are bordering to the hilarious. What exactly did he do that confirmed that he did so well?

If he stops being so feckin slow then he can develop into a new taller version of Gattuso which isn't that bad after all.

He's done well since he came in.

In parts where he was close to Fulham's box, he was fantastic.
Thought he did rather well second half, was one of few who were steadying the ship.
