Rayo are an interesting team. Last month they lost 4-0 to Barcelona but became the first team for 5 years to have more possession than them. They seem to have brought out everything that's wrong with Madrid tonight - or at least in he second half. Clumsy and indisciplined defending. Inability to keep the ball. Lack of concentration. Switching off because the attackers had established a solid lead.

One good thing is that Real Madrid have shown that they are good at attacking, but also they are more vulnerable this time than they were last season. I think they could be there for the taking in the Champions League. They have so far conceded 16 goals and this time last year, they only conceded 9. This season, they have scored 30 goals compared to last years 32. So, they are down on goals scored and up on goals conceded.
