Will go down as the biggest club flop. Bigger than Berbatov. He's so bad.

He had a soft-ish header straight at the keeper and one that went straight back in the direction it came from. Sure, he could've scored on either I suppose, but he wasn't even close to so I'm not sure what your point is. Yeah, he did win quite a few headers but that's to be expected (particularly when he was unchallenged for half of them), and that doesn't really excuse him for standing off in many other situations. Fearing the ref might go against him doesn't really excuse him either - going by that logic no defender should challenge for a header then and I don't remember a wrong foul being given against him more than once today.
I don't care if he was better than Cleverley - in my book they were equally shit, and they really don't suit each other. This is, however, the Fellaini thread.
I thought he was supposed to be good in the air at least, but so far he hasn't even shown that - he can't even do the simple stuff (like challenging for headers).
He got the question about Medel, but then started to go on about Fellaini and "that should be looked at" suggesting he wants the FA to ban Fellaini.Did he complain that Gary Medel hurt his fist on Fellaini's face?
I had him as our MOTM today, albeit in a team which I thought played very badly.
Was tidy for the most part. You can't blame him today.
You'd expect him to do more and show more bottle than Cleverley. If our expectations of him are to be as good as Cleverley then that says little about him. Some ridiculous comments. He was a long way from being our worst player today, certainly did more and showed more bottle than Cleverley did.
I think he brings several qualities to the team. There's no use slagging him off for not dictating play etc as we knew he wasn't about that.
feck me though, his movement off the ball is generally awful.
Still looked the best in the 3 man midfield I think. Nothing particular about his play today I feel, agree that he's slow off the ball.
I thought he was pretty poor. Every pass he played is either backwards or sideways, he wasn't particularly mobile and his tackling, heading and all-round physicality was below standard.
He will score plenty of goals over the years and I would prefer to have Fellaini on the pitch rather than Anderson any day but I think Moyes is realizing that Fellaini will be no more than then Fletcher role where he will only play when there are injuries or in tough away games as our destroyer when we have to play 3 in midfield.......He simply does not have enough mobility or vision to cement a place in central midfield....30 million for a squad player and a destroyer is a lot of money but he will play his part and score goals in big games for sure when he is given game time

Wouldn't mind Anderson getting a shot ahead of Fellaini right now.
If there was one thing I could change about him it would be this, he really does need to get quicker and fitter. If he could press quickly he would be such a great asset in defence, but right now he can be far too cumbersome when trying to win the ball.

You know what? The worrying thing is he is the same player he was at Everton. And still we aigned him. He's gonna have to accept criticism to his heart because right now he's not the same player when we were watching him at Everton.
If Cleverley has been here for longer, Fellaini is a much more experienced and proven player. He just looks a bit ordinary right now. He's just a passenger for most games with little fouls and sideways passes breaking tide.Obviously you would, yes, but Cleverley has been here years now and Fellaini has just arrived, he was also surrounded by, to put it bluntly, mediocrity in that midfield.

Cleverley is still a better footballer than him. And also offers more to us than Fellaini ever will.
Waste of money. Our third highest signing as well if I'm not mistaken. Pathetic.
We should just play him behind Rooney for a bit..............

For all the ridiculous scapegoating from the usual suspects, we're really going to miss him against Leverkusen.
But I guess the posters saying Anderson is better will have their day...
Not really. Clev is incredibly useless these days.
