This is what we need mate, so you better bring it!
He will have to need movement around him to do that. This is what I fear most.

With Rooney, van Persie, Adnan (and possibly Kagawa/Welbeck/Hernandez), our movement will be a-plenty. Not everyone in the team is Valencia you know?He will have to need movement around him to do that. This is what I fear most.
"Moron"? Thats fecking harsh to say the least dude!
So what if folk jumped the gun. Many thought he was gonna get the 7. I never gave a shit what number he got personally, never particularly thought about it - still dont too.. Its how he plays in the shirt that matters - a number wont make him a success!
Great feckin signing tho - unbelievable really...
8 is fine by me. As long as it's nothing too weird like Zidane taking #5 at Real, I'm cool with it.
I bet you spunked yourself silly when Dempsey was wearing 2 at Spurs last season.I'm a huge fan of weird numbers. Gyan wearing 3 for Ghana and Zamorano's 1+8 for Inter are some other great ones.
--------- 1 ------------
2 ---- 5 ---- 6 ------ 3
------ 4 --- 8 ---------
7 ------ 10 -------- 11
--------- 9 ------------
That's how a team should line up!
I believe classically they're both centre-halves (in the original sense of the word):Not exactly... In a 4-2-3-1 I'd guess it would go.
-----1-----
2---4-5---3
---6----8--
7---10----11
-----9-----
4 is classically a CB and 6 is classically a DM.
I think he's quite excited about this. Uploading photos, updating his Twitter and letting us know about it, and the website and posters.

how's the shirt fit?
Yes moron - who the hell goes out and buys a shirt w/number for a player who hasn't even been given an official number yet?! Almost as bad as buying a shirt for a player who hasn't signed yet....
Well actually it's not, I mean not even close... but you know... same lines?
Yeah, wasn't to arsed about the number he got really - just bloody delighted he's signed!
Our new front four is mouth watering.
That's been up since Saturday morning. I originally messaged him asking how he knew what the shirt number was but he said they wouldn't print/dispatch them until they were confirmed anyway. But got mine a lot cheaper anyway so feck him and his number 7 ways.

That could work!

Yeah. 4 was the half back and 5 and 6 were the two either side of him. So Id haveYeah, it stems from the old 2-3-5 formation. But traditionally I think the 4 and 5 were the ones pushed back and the 6 kept in midfield.

just a bit of harmless word play . . Tom Mata . . A veg or fruit!
Also we have this City lad, top man & fair play to him, fantastic story. He got a United tat to raise money for the folk who looked after his Daughter who had a brain tumor.
Top story. Brilliant idea and lovely to read about.
Big time man. Found out about that by accident, that should be a national news story in fairness. That was probably the worst thing he could think of doing that would raise money - shame it didnt go national, i'd have donated money... probably still can to be honest man...
Dont know how it didnt man - thats a massive story for any footie fan. I wouldnt do it thats for sure. I'd find another way. Some man for one man...Yeah, I'd reckon with proper media support he could have aspired to raise much more than that.
Boulahrouz was number 9 at Chelsea, another strange one. That bugged me. Gallas having 10 at Arsenal too was weird.

He's pretty savvy too the way he "manages" his site, twitter, and FB. But then he might just have someone helping him. All in all, he comes across as a very nice guy and intelligent, who might want to "establish" himself in a Becks' or CR7 kind of celebrity status. He would be loyal to us if he wants that status established. Play good football, nice, no scandal and clean.I think he's quite excited about this. UEFA should introduce fines for that type of nonsense!Urgh yeah i remember that. Madrid seemingly had a laissez faire approach to the whole thing, after the Zidane 5 monstrosity they gave Cicinho 11!
