With Rooney, van Persie, Adnan (and possibly Kagawa/Welbeck/Hernandez), our movement will be a-plenty. Not everyone in the team is Valencia you know?
That said, a more lively version of our current CMs would be so totally welcome.

I'm a huge fan of weird numbers. Gyan wearing 3 for Ghana and Zamorano's 1+8 for Inter are some other great ones.
I like that he is #8 because despite him having the quality to be our #7, I prefer our number 7 to be of the winger kind (e.g. a Beckham or Ronaldo type). Also I think it's nice he plays without the pressure of a #7, and it also keeps the door open to sign a player who could be tempted by our #7 shirt.

That's been up since Saturday morning. I originally messaged him asking how he knew what the shirt number was but he said they wouldn't print/dispatch them until they were confirmed anyway. But got mine a lot cheaper anyway so feck him and his number 7 ways.
Yeah, it stems from the old 2-3-5 formation. But traditionally I think the 4 and 5 were the ones pushed back and the 6 kept in midfield.

He's pretty savvy too the way he "manages" his site, twitter, and FB. But then he might just have someone helping him. All in all, he comes across as a very nice guy and intelligent, who might want to "establish" himself in a Becks' or CR7 kind of celebrity status.
