If we have to grind out a win against Crystal Palace then we are in trouble.
This is exactly how I imagine it panning out.Think Palace will probably take the win. 1-0. Set piece. Hideous away fixture now under Pulis.
Saw this on Twitter:
"If David Moyes is tactically outdone by Tony Pulis, I will cry so bad, not even a wank will help"
You didn't think we were in trouble before? If we have to grind out a win against Crystal Palace then we are in trouble.
It seems like there's a broad opinon that this formation suits the players we have more than the 4-4-2 we've tried. The fact RvP, Nani and even Young (though probably not Valencia) would also suit this formation gives it weight.
I really long to at least see it in action once - if only to see with my own eyes that its not right.
Sadly what we're more likely to see is
De Gea
Rafael---Smalling---Jones---Evra
Valencia Fletcher---Carrick Mata-
Rooney
RvP
I can see us fielding a largely second string side, with the main players being left for the champions league match a few days after. At least that is what I hope we do. If we lose in the league it really doesn’t mean much at this point, so we might as well be fully prepared for the champions league match.
They'd better bloody win. I have to stay up until 4:30am to watch this.
Most likely, but I wouldn't like to see a full strength team going into this game. The league is basically meaningless to us right now, beyond playing for pride now. So I would prefer us to focus on the one competition that still matters. Though I'm sure moyes views it differently considering he knows each lose brings his sacking closer.I don't think Moyes will be taking any chances with this game. He will play a strong side, also bare in mind that our last game will have been 10 days previous, plus our next game after Olympiakos is not until the 8th March (Away to West Brom)
Ditto.

I expect Mata and Januzaj to start as I can't see Januzaj starting in Greece.
Kagawa will come in for Mata midweek, can't see him featuring against Palace. Moyes has used him well in Europe so far. You'd also hope that Kagawa can get some game time, hoping that he is the player to replace Mata on Tuesday. Most likely it will be Young and/or Valencia occupying one/both of the wide positions though.

I may regret this, but i'd really like to see Fellaini in this match. He desperately needs a good run of form and surely away against palace would be a good start. Plus he is a good player to play against a Pulis team
Palace will be no push over, since taking over Pulis has got them really well drilled and they've picked up a lot of points under him, i hate saying this but i wouldn't be surprised if we lost
Under Pulis they have yet to take a single point from anyone in the top half of the table, they've been doing better but not *that* well.
Somewhat bizarrely, i feel like we have played better football away from home, so im relatively optimistic
De Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Mata Rooney Januzaj
Rooney
Well it all depends how you want to spin things doesnt it?It's a resurgent palace team with a siege mentality, a purpose, something to play for v a team whose season is over, captain leaving, sure whats another defeat mentality. Think it will be a defeat tbh or a score draw if individuals have "moments" on our side.
