Was our 5-5 draw there last year a sign of things to come this season??

Don't think so. Valencia and Young will be rested for Olympiakos.DDG
Smalling - Evans - Vidic - Evra
Valencia - Carrick - Fletcher - Young
Rooney - RVP
That's what we will see based on how Moyes learns.
Hopefully there will be a positive response after the Olympiakos game.
By the way this game doesn't seem to be on Canadian TV next weekend, anyone in Canada know anything about that?
vs.
Hope we start with:
DDG
Rafa...ah who the feck cares anymore
Prediction: 1-1
The game's on TSN, which sucks as I don't have TSN. Stupid Sportsnet have rarely shown any Man. Utd. games, this season. I've had a difficult time watching matches from the TV.

I reckon we'll pick a good team, put in a performance that'll be considered relatively promising and win.
This will add to the frustration when we then revert to a poor team against Olympiacos. We'll win that game anyway with a limp performance but it won't be enough to get us through the tie.
Afterwards Moyes will say it's not good enough but we could easily have gone through and were a bit unlucky. He'll also point to the fact that Mata wasn't eligible.
Hopefully I'm wrong and we'll see real change. Even if we don't though I still see wins ahead.
Not pretty much this, EXACTLY this.I reckon we'll pick a good team, put in a performance that'll be considered relatively promising and win.

No Chicharito for this game i reckon
He'll play for Mexico against Nigeria in Atlanta (1.30 UK time)
It's a disgrace that the game is in the USA......it should be in London
I know what you mean but I disagree to the extent that when I saw the team selection last Tuesday I groaned and there was a sense of inevitability about what came next that many, many people have spoken about. So team selections do matter. We're at the stage now where team selections just don't matter anymore. Problems are deeper rooted.

I actually think we will go back and play a similar team we did against Palace because it seems like the sensible thing to do and I live in hope that Moyes is a sensible man.
What a fascinating test for Moyes.
The team he put out at Olympiakos showed exactly where his heart lies and how he wants to play football. However it backfired in a pretty spectacular way, with what many believe to be the worst European performance by United since the early 90s, maybe ever.
Will that make him think again and go back to the 4-2-3-1 that worked with modest success against Palace? Or will he double down on his caution and go for another 4-4-1-1 approach?
The return of Mata, surely, will swing it in favour of going 4-2-3-1. But Moyes is under pressure, and when you're under pressure you're less likely to gamble (unless your Fergie, when you're more likely).
WBA 2 United 1
WBA will score first in the first 15 mins. We will equalise within 15 mins of the second half. WBA will score the winner two minutes into injury time.
Moyes will say we were very unlucky, played some good football, RVP had a couple of good chances that he would have taken on another day, we'll keep working on what we are doing etc etc
I don't really get your thinking on that one. How have you concluded that our line up in one game is definitely what Moyes wants going forward? Why not his set up from the game before or any other game? That's just pure doom and gloom guesswork.
And you talk as though Mata has been forced upon him and he'll have to change his system to accomodate him. He signed Mata! Surely that's evidence that he doesn't want to play a system such as the one against Olympiakos, in the future.
I think RVP will be dropped for this - and after that interview, i'd say rightly so. DM needs to start asserting some authority on the squad if he is going to get any form of run going to show a strong finish to the season. I'm behind him and I hope he can start turning the screw on some of the players. Would love to see Mata behind Rooney for this game with Adnan and Kagawa either side, but I won't hold my breath.
I keep saying we will play well and we don't, but that can't last forever. A comfortable 0-2 win for United.
