Shinji Kagawa

I don't know what I want any more tbh. It's looking as though we have a dead duck manager. Why hope for results that prolong his reign?

Anyway, I've seen absolutely nothing this season to convince me we can beat the likes of Bayern, Barca or Madrid if we do get past Olympiakos. In fact, the humiliation of playing these teams over two legs is probably something I'd rather avoid.
Not a single team left in the CL is within our reach with this clown at helm. Atletico and Dortmund are perhaps the only ones that wouldn't beat us heavily and even then I'm pretty sure they'd comfortably stuff us home and away.

It would be more humiliating to lose or go out to Olympiakos after the devastating 'Pool loss than anything that the future potentially brings.

He said he will be involved..at some point. AT SOME POINT. Bloody hell he's not starting is he?

That whole 'Shinji will be allowed a lot more playing time from now to the end of the season?' zero-point-one seconds is infinitely more playing time than no time at all. Math genius Moyes.

On a more serious note, I'd bet anything he thought that was a player-motivating statement.

Kagawa playing like he did against Leverkusen is the only hope I have of us getting through this match.

David Moyes confirms Shinji Kagawa will "definitely be involved at some point" during today's Champion's League match. "He's an important player for us," adds the boss.

Hardly any match practice for such an important player for such an important game ... that's a good way to manage I suppose.

Also, the old "will be involved at some point" is clearly the kind of show of confidence needed by a player who's been low on confidence all season, great stuff.

You decoded Moyes' language perfectly.

How about Valencia who has been worse this season and has been barely playing in the last few weeks ?

I reckon he'll bring him on for Giggs, put Rooney in midfield and him behind RVP at about 60 minutes if we need more goals.

So, 'at some point' probably means bringing Kagawa on for the last 3 minutes. He'll do squat in that amount of time and, consequently, get dropped for the next few weeks.

Definitely say a player who isn't getting enough playing time he will get playing time, then don't play him.

That's just quality man management.

Moyes proper trolled him. Poor lad probably was up all night in anticipation of his much awaited appearance.

I knew that 1 out of the 2 was a lie, but it seemed like it was 2 out of 2 after all...

The weird thing is this is the second or third time of late that Moyes has specifically mentioned getting Kagawa game time and it hasn't materialized at all. It's just strange, what's he point?

FFS who gives a shit. There's no way I would have brought him on when we were hanging on at 3-0. He would have come on if the scoreline was different.

Who gives a feck! It's one player, and we just overturned a 2-0 deficit in Europe, chill out fanboys!

I might have put him on for Giggs when Rooney shifted out wide to the left and Giggs was pushed up.

wise up you yaps! 5 mins injury time and there's shock and indignation that we bring in the 7ft defensively minded fuzzy headed hold up merchant rather than the tiny playmaker!?! Truly terrible from Moyes, what was he thinking!

probs should have been on instead of young but still, some absolute mooncats on here!

Uh, yeah. You could not have missed the point more.
