Manchester United v Manchester City

Townsend and Hargreaves in the studio. It's only getting worse.

Are you cnuts overdoing it or is it really bad? Most of the MBM's are now reporting that we've improved 'considerably'

They're overdoing it. Massively. Are you not familiar with matchday threads? Absolutely terrible way to get a feel for the way is going. 90% whining, unless we're at least a couple of goals to the good.

City are playing well and almost overran us after a very early goal. We've steadied the ship, though, and the game's been fairly even for the last 30 minutes. Vastly superior performance from us to the last time we played them. Actually got a bit of control of the game.

I'd say bring on Kagawa. We need to show some pathos up front.

Not a good first half but better than I expected it to be, we have given City problems when we have run at them, but United are so so lucky to still have 11 players on the pitch Fellani should of been sent off

Some massive over reactions in here. They were all over us first ten minutes but we created chances after that and could've easily levelled with better finishing.
Going forward we've been decent, defensively all over the place. A bit disjointed going forward too. Put on Valencia or kagawa for cleverley and we'd have scored at least 1 IMO. Not necessarily to change the system, it's just they're much better then cleverley. No idea why he's playing.

Manager did alright. I think he got his tactics spot on. Moyes takes no blame for that performance whatsoever.

The players on the other hand, do. Cleverley was the usual pussy, sideways and backwards, and giving the ball away too often, breaking our attacks with his wimpiness. he was supposed to drift wide while defending, and cut in while attacking. I think he did the other way round. Fellaini looked jobless on the left, too. what exactly dis he think he was doing? Mata missed many killer balls and one golden chance at goal.

Welbeck, Rooney, DDG, Rio, Carrick were their brilliant.

What Moyes needs to do in the second half is - get his players up positively for it, make sure they don't concede another early one. Take Cleverley off, bring on Fletcher/Januzaj. Put Fellaini on Yaya, and increase the pace in the game.

Also, I think our aerial stats were shocking.

I hate to scapegoat the lad as it's not his fault but if Cleverley is on the right when the second half kicks off I'm going to give the TV a right old frowning

And whose idea was to play Fellaini in a free role. Does anyone else except Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez and Fellaini plays in a free role in modern football.

The main positive I take from that first half is that we didn't fall apart after going behind. It doesn't say much but earlier in this season we would've folded. We weathered the storm and we actually started constructing some decent attacks. In the final third we need more movement, more creativity, just more...and bloody hell if Mata or Fellaini get the kinda chances they had in that first half again they have to score.

Please take off cleverley. He's been awful, scared to get the ball and just gives it away. He's just a shit player with no bollocks. Put on kagawa, get some class on the pitch. Rooney and mata would instantly look better. City's defence is quite shit, we could easily turn this around, just need cleverley off the pitch to do that.
Eh? What match have I been watching then? One terrible pass aside, I can't recall him giving it away at all. He's understandably nervous but has been neat in possession, linked well with Rafa. But hey, that's the deal with Tom at the moment. He can do no right.

Some are saying take Fellaini off - wtf like? He's done better than most. Cleverly is a waste of space - get him off & Kagawa on.

Rio - way past it for these games. Jones - not up to it either.

Evra's been pretty good. Mata missed that glorious chance.

There's far too much wrong with us to be honest, atleast its only 1nil & we've tried to get back in the game.

I wonder if its not actually hard set but more that players are having to do certain jobs when City have the ball?
It's possible. But our players are looking confused, our team looks so dis balanced.

Poor Kagawa though. Essentially he now knows that however he performs is irrelevant for his chances of progressing within the team

Good recovery but that first ten minutes had 0-6 written all over it, we've settled and done okay but there's no confidence in the side and we couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. They will score before we do I am afraid.

Arsenal 1-0 down.

Comeback and win tonight and we are 8 points behind them with 7 games remaining. Surely not...
No, definitely not.

He's hiding from the game. He's given it away a few times, doing nothing really when he gets it. Working hard sure but not really doing much either way to impact anything. You need some talent to go along with hard work, which he just doesn't have much of.

Shambolic. I was surprised when I saw people lauding the team selection pre game, but said I'd say nothing. Cleverley - his usual irritating useless self. Fellaini resorting to his early United career form, absolutely strolling around the pitch. Welbeck at least trying, but as per usual his legs are too fast for him or something, can't stay on his feet. Also needs to learn when that touch is 1 touch too many. Jones giving the ball away, Carrick likewise. Midfield absolutely all over the place in general.

Awful team choice, awful performance. Complete lack of cohesion. Players standing around for that goal. City look so much better on the ball, crisply passing it around.

Moyes showing once again that he's not cut out for big games.

Please God let this reverse jinx work, I'll happily take the end of day eggy face!

Seeing Scholes as pundit is so fucking depressing. He'd perform better than 9/10's of them.

Fellaini shouldn't be off. If he connected with his face, then fair enough but it was his fecking neck and a simple shove. A yellow will suffice.

Rafael is future captain material imo. He's one of few that is actually showing a bit of balls.
