So we have Bayern

Might put them at a slight disadvantage?

UEFA have fined Bayern Munich 10,000 euros (US$13,774) for an offensive banner and ordered part of the Allianz Arena to be closed for their Champions League home quarter-final against Manchester United.

European football's governing body punished holders Bayern after their fans displayed a banner carrying the text "Gay Gunners", aimed at opponents Arsenal during the Champions League last 16 second leg 1-1 draw in Munich on March 11.

Bayern progressed to the quarter-finals 3-1 on aggregate having won the first leg 2-0 in London and have drawn David Moyes' United with the first leg at Old Trafford on April 1 and the return in Munich on April 9.

UEFA's Control and Disciplinary body have also ordered the closing of a section of the Allianz Arena for the Munich leg and warned that a repeat offence will carry a 50,000 euro ($A76,394.19) fine and a future match to be played behind closed doors.

Still, Gay Gunners lol!

After tonight's showing, this one won't be pretty.

Moyes was so fecking lucky to draw Bayern.

Even if we lose 10-0 on aggregate, apologists will point to Barca losing 7-0 to them. He can't fecking lose.

They won the league tonight, in fecking March, just to put things into perspective...

Pep surely has an idea how to beat us
Surely he has? If not, he could always get a few tips off the tactical geniuses that are Sherwood, Michel, Pardew, Martinez and Laudrup.

Let's forfeit it. Only them showing mercy is gonna keep the scoreline low, if they really go for it they could score 5 or 6 goals easily.
What about the away leg?

We are going to be the laughing stock of the world

This is going to be interesting to watch. I mean we could really get massacred here. Although I still hold out hope that somehow we perform a miracle.

Whatever it is, it will be broken in two weeks time.
Just had a Google - Bayern beat sporting 12-1 back in 2008/09 which I think is the record. We're at home first so if they put 5 or 6 past us at Old Trafford the record could well be broken.

Bayern seems to take it easy at home when they're comfortably ahead.

That was also what Pep used to do with Barcelona. The worst part will be the first game at Old Trafford.

The Germans don't relent against weaker opposition, do they? Let's hope they give the name Manchester United enough respect and play a bit cautiously, because our performances this season deserve none.

Oh - the match was already really quiet - 9:1 after the break. Until Müller got subbed in for Schweinsteiger in minute 72. His first CL match - at this time he still played for the U23-team and only had a ten-minute-substitution for one match some months before. And then they somehow started to play again... The first thing he did was dribbling through 3 defenders on the right to preassist the 10:1. He made a through ball for Klose who got fouled in the penalty box. And the 12:1 he tabbed in. What an intro...

Müller's first ball contact in the CL...

There were a few beliebers in this thread when we drew them.

What say you now?

I know it's always preferred to be away for the first leg for the potential away goals and playing in front of your own crowd knowing exactly what you need to do in the second leg, but in this case I wish we were playing away first simply because of what teams are doing to us at OT. It's going to be horrendous viewing, and we're all masochists for doing it.

Moyes may as well apply the lube himself.

If you lose 6-0 on aggregate, it will be hailed by some as some kind of victory...

Exaggerating a little but when it should bee seen as a fecking travesty no matter who we are playing, it'll be brushed off as "Well it is Bayern".
