You mean,

Young: Shit option off the bench

Don't believe Rio is the leak
I meant he is a defensive option who can help Evra if we are winning, hope you understand better this time.

That's adventurous from Bayern. Guess they had no choice with the suspensions.

I'd rather we didn't sit back too much against that line up though. If anything we could do with going for them from the off.

Expecting that Bayern will be looking to shoot from outside the box a little more this week. De Gea is going to be crucial.

Our midfield needs to follow their man and make blocks more crucially. We cannot allow lapses like Fellaini's in the home leg.

It's the hope that kills you... Wasn't nervous at all before the first game, was just expecting us to lose comfortably. Now before this I genuinely believe we can do it, especially after the lineups. I just hope we put in a great performance and actually do it, the season rests on this game.

Lahm is definitely a more scarier prospect than Rafinha. He looked comfortably their worst player last week. Shame, as we could've targeted him more.

Worried about the lack of enforcers in our midfield, but great team nevertheless. I wish we could have a Fletcher pre ulceritis colitis. He would have been pivotal to our success today.

Welbeck needs to keep things simple upfront and our experience players in, Rooney, Vidic, Carrick and Valencia need to lead by example and put on a noteworthy performance.

Wow Fletcher and Kagawa both start despite playing the full 90 at Newcastle.

Sky has Welbeck up top, Rooney number 10 and Kagawa left. I hope it's Welbeck left, Kagawa in behind and Wayne up top.

Hope so too, unless Moyes is planning to play Rooney deeper and Welbeck up top, then Kagawa would have to stay left. That'd be a shame as Kagawa is our not-so secret weapon knowing the Bundeslegia as he does

We've got nothing to lose but pride. Moyes has to ensure we play positively and the players must work as hard as they can. I'm getting quite nervous now.

I feel the same. You can't help but be optimistic!

All I'm asking for is a proper performance. Show some pride and give it 110%, bully them off the ball unless the ref is a lenient twat.

Can't complain with that line-up at all, Buttner is maybe too inexperienced in big matches too play against Bayern twice in 8 days.

That stands out along with Evra's positioning. But we'll need a major performance from all 11 players.

Can't see us being able to do much to hurt Bayern with Welbeck and Valenica on the wings. Will struggle even more with possession as well because of them.

Can't see us win, not even with half their midfield out.

No idea how Goetze and Kroos work as a) proper CM and b)together. Let's hope Carrick-Fletcher-Kagawa/Rooney see more of the ball tonight and ensure better control. I would rather have Welbeck up top due to his pace and height and let Rooney-Kagawa interchange behind him. When we are in attack, Welbeck-Rooney-Kagawa can alternate positions and show some trickeries.

I'm genuinely bricking it right now  Doesn't help that I'm in the middle of exams adding to the nerves, but I haven't felt this nervous/anxious/excited for a game since Madrid last year.

Gah it's the hope! The hope is killing me!

Team selection looks good though. Big night for Kagawa, Welbeck and Smalling.

Who is meant to be playing midfield for Bayern? Kroos and Gotze?

It's possible they suffocate us to the point we have no chance to get at them, but we really should get some joy with Kagawa in behind Rooney, surely?

Pep must be absolutely confident playing this line up because if he fecks up a lot of the blame will be put on him. He easily could have gone with what worked and used Lahm as the holding midfielder, instead he plays with 0 defensive holding midfielders and 5 natural attacking midfielders

Cheers. Bayern's bench is a bit sparse.[/QUOTE

Götze and Kroos will not work as a CM pair. I believe more that Alaba and Lahm will stay deeper than usual. And that Robben and Ribery will drop into midfield to help with the build-up. Müller and Robben, Ribery and Götze share positions. Müller, Götze will play false nines, tens and wingers. Something like this...

Pep would not have to go so offensive. He answered the question "Two out of Müller, Mandzukic" with all of them.

Smalling or Jones at right back? Got a feeling it'll be Smalling.

We should have a chance if we go at them. Their midfielders are better players than ours but Goetze isn't exactly a central midfielder.

Kagawa, Rooney and Welbeck :D
Kagawa and Rooney have a great understanding, and with Welbeck's pace - Who knows?

Survive the first 30 minutes, we could be very dangerous on the counter.

Why are some of the 'papers claiming that Pep has never been under such pressure as he has lately?
