What the hell is wrong with this ref? letting Neuer pick him up!? He might have a broken rib ffs.

How well we attack when we do attack shouldn't really be affected by how well we're defending. We've attacked with players pushing forward, so it's not the defensive approach that's stopping us keeping the ball. We're just not doing it very well.

So far. Hopefully we push on now.

You don't need to keep the ball to score. Our best chances in the last game happened after some long balls forward which Welbeck then got to but I have a feeling that Bayern is standing a bit deeper this time to prevent these situations.

Won't the pressure grow us ? If it's 70 minutes and bayern are keeping the ball for 7 out of every 10 minutes it's us who will be getting frustrated.

Bayern won't sit back and you are forgetting that united aren't expected to go through.

It's a completely differant kind of pressure.

Did Rooney just kick the ball out of play there whilst trying to dribble?

And well in Fletcher. That's exactly what Fellaini didn't do last week - track the midfield runner bursting into the box for the cutback.

Yes they won't sit back. They'll just pop it about pointlessly while we can do nothing about it. It's like going behind against Spain. Painful.

So we have to make a change and go more attacking at some point.

When?
Who should come on?
In place of who?

A half fit Rooney is always one of the worst players on the pitch

Kagawa looks on a different level on the ball to the others. They should take his cue and retain possession once in awhile.

What's with the massive block of empty seats, by the way? To separate the away fans or something?

Really nothing to do with a big game. He just has done basically nothing since coming to Bayern. Doesn't look like Pep has improved him in any way since he went to Bayern despite that being his main reason why he wanted to go to Bayern, well at least he said that.

It's quite interesting that most of Klopps former players all seemed to be much better when they were still playing under him.

Quite honestly, I would have thought that if any player would be able to hit his former level without much problems, it would be Götze, simply because of his huge raw ability, but so far he only had very few moments in the Bayern shirt when he looked as influential as at Dortmund. His abilities have not really suffered that much, but I think his former mentality of just going out there and enjoy football has under the restrictions Guardiola placed on him.

My opinion on the whole transfer has not changed since it was announced. As a player he would have benifited more if he would have stayed for another year or two at Dortmund to fully mature and develop. Can´t say I feel much pity for him, though, because he chose a man with a huge name over the most influential person in his career.
