Moyes is also stubborn and confrontational yet I wanted him to remain. Means nothing.

As for your point about age, yes, van Gaal's (and Heynckes) go against them but at least Heynckes ticks every other box. van Gaal doesn't.

Bielsa hasn't signed a thing with Marseille yet. Roy Keane agreed to join Blackburn and Gascoigne agreed to sign for us once upon a time, don't you know?

 you can't be serious!

AMSTERDAM -
Louis van Gaal will go to Manchester United. The coach of the Dutch team did last night reached an agreement with the English club. Van Gaal (62) negotiated the last few days in the Portuguese Algarve, where he has a nice villa with Ed Woodward, one of the Glazer brothers and a lawyer on a multi-million contract.

The man that the absolute number one on the list of candidates for the succession of the dismissed manager David Moyes was, shall immediately after the elimination of the Dutch team at the World Cup in Brazil occurred in the service of the current champion of England.

Van Gaal wait a tough job, because he has to build. Completely new team Before that, he gets 100 million in transfer funds at his disposal. The initial recommendations for strengthening he has already done. The Glazer family, owners of Manchester United, have great faith in Van Gaal, who won at all the clubs where he worked prizes.

Van Gaal impressed
The Glazers had two weeks ago the first by Telesport revealed secret meeting with Van Gaal. In that conversation was Ed Woodward, the general manager of Manchester United. The top United was impressed by the football vision that Van Gaal on display spread. Then had to be diverted because the Dutchman would only talk if the club had arranged. Its act with David Moyes over a contract soon

This week flew Van Gaal at his villa in the Algarve. With a private jet delegation of Manchester United came a few days later. The leadership of Tottenham Hotspur was then already in mind that it would be in the battle for the signature of the Dutch top trainer. Chance Van Gaal also had a concrete offer from the Spurs to go after the World Cup. Started in London

Supposedly done deal according to the Telegraaf which first revealed we're interested in him and meeting him.

Looks like it is just a matter of time. I'm fine with it as long as he keeps Giggs and the other coaches around in some capacity and doesn't cause too many waves in public.

I'm excited about this. A world class manager who takes no bullshit plays modern football and is a very good teacher for youngsters.

Reportedly bringing in Patrick Kluivert as his assistant.

Edit: Not as excited about Kluivert if its true would rather have class of 92 involved.

I'm excited, LvG will be a good manager and just what we need. He wont stand for any bullshit, he plays good football and apparently is a top class coach. I hope he keeps Giggs on as a coach though.

Van Gaal, who in recent days in his villa in Portugal with the whole top of Manchester United in conversation, may attract a top player for each line.

Sneijder rejected
In the selection of the Dutch team (yet) have no players that are interesting for Manchester United. Wesley Sneijder was rejected last year by the English club and Van Gaal is itself not a fan of the midfielder from Galatasaray. Only if Agger had been fit he would have been a candidate for United. Chances are that Van Gaal his first reinforcements from the German Bundesliga picks, he knows through his years at Bayern Munich on his hand.

Later this season or early next year there would be another 100 million may come. Available to him Van Gaal would also like to see what he has to offer and how team players can make. Players who fail at this time, again He has done great conversions at Bayern Munich earlier.

Robin van Persie
Robin van Persie, scorer of United and the Dutch national team, is the arrival of Van Gaal also great news. The attacker has great confidence in the coach, he had already found in the Dutch national team. The attacking ideas of Van Gaal connect much better with the style of play that all players of United under Alex Ferguson and Rene Meulensteen years were used. Under Moyes, the team's only defensive and negative emerged. Van Gaal will quickly try to give United a unique image. Again

The leadership of Manchester United wants Louis van Gaal immediately give all 100 million to make in the transfer market business. This season under David Moyes seriously derailed team that next season will not come in the Champions League should be at least substantially strengthened in four places. Van Gaal, who in recent days in his villa in Portugal with the whole top of Manchester United in conversation, may attract a top player for each line.

This says he'll get a kitty of 100m Euros and he'll look to buy players from German League.

While I have no issues with him bringing in his own right hand man, I'm sure (more hopeful) that the club would make him keep the Class of 92' around.

Gullit said Van Gaal was a done deal at Spurs on BBC a few weeks ago.

New staff he's bringing:
  • Kluivert as assistant
  • Frans Hoek as GK coach
  • Van Dijk as psychologist
  • Max Reckers as video analyst

Deal was done late last night apparently, it says as soon as Holland are knocked out of the WC he will take over

One glazer, Woodward and a Lawyer completed the deal it says

Ladyman has said we come out and said the reports are not true.

So he's got the job!

Somewhat quickly for us, the ckub have just announced that the reports of van gaal appointed new manager are not true according to Ian Ladyman

Lots of you seem to want him to keep on "the class of 92" but not being able to have their own team could really hinder whichever coach comes in. Someone like van Gaal might not want Nicky Butt to be one of his coaches.

Why the rush and not wait till the end of the season (or at least till he joins the WC squad)

I only hope that this is to give LVG an opportunity to get working on transfers

Spurs want him and I'd imagine Van Gaal wants it sorted well before the World Cup.

He'll probably want guarantees if there are other clubs that are interested in him. If Ancelotti was sacked and you decided to pursue him and Spurs already had Pochettino because they thought their chance of getting Van Gaal was finished, then he'd be shafted. Just an example.

This is my biggest concern, it feels like we are more concerned in getting Giggs as manager in a couple of years than getting in a manger now who could be here long term, which is stupid since Giggs hasn't proven anything.

Honestly.

I would prefer to let Van Gaal choose his staff plus he likes keeping one person who knows the club.

I just think class of 92 should stay away if Van Gaal says so.

Butt is a reserve team coach before this shift and I expect it to stay that way. Main concern will be Giggs in main team role and preferably Scholes in some capacity of coaching.

Van Gaal would not have been my first choice, but i would gladly welcome him and trust that huge transfer budget to rebuild United. He is not going to take crap and has the balls to drop players, who either do not perform, or listen to him. I hope he sticks around for 5-6 years so that he can reform our youth program as well, so that we can produce players for United and not for the rest of the league.

I bet he already has a list of players that he would wants for our positions of need. I feel a couple of German and Dutch players will be making their way to Old Trafford early this summer.

Wait for what exactly ? He is qualified for the role, available and willing to come unlike other big name managers we all wanted and seeing as we want to hit the ground running in the window and next season prolonging the uncertainty will do more harm than good .
I think he will dispatch Kluivert to come in at Carrington and lay the ground work at least until he can come in .

It does remind us of someone am i right?

Dutch press reporting that a deal was agreed last night with Van Gaal. Woodward, one of the Glazer brothers and United's lawyer were at Van Gaal's home last night in the in the Algarve to thrash out the deal:

It's also said that Giggs, Scholes, PNev and Butt will be on Van Gaal's back-room staff, Giggs most likely to be assistant manager with an eye on following Van Gaal up in a couple of seasons.
