Shutter Island way to high in my opinion aswell. Glad to see Alien higher than Aliens though unless Alien isn't in the top 50 in which may god have mercy on your souls.
 
Shutter Island is a bit too high. I don't think I rated it too highly, did I? :nervous:
Not sure about Blood Diamond either.
 
Tried watching Memento last night, couldn't get my head round it :lol: gave up about 45mins into it...the hangover probably didn't aide me much...I may try again sometime!!
 
Some big ones have already been put down. I wonder what we'll be left with for the top 20.
 
Right gents...I'll leave you all to mull those over and continue tomorrow - I'm off to catch up with Game Of Thrones and Mad Men :D
 
Shutter Island is a random inclusion you threw in throw us off right? No way that's really in here.
 
Pretty nice start.

Strangely I didn't actually vote for Blood Diamond, just couldn't find room for it on my list. Bloody brilliant film though, feck sake Eboue.

Shutter Island is actually lower than I expected it to be, what a movie!

Incredibly still to this day the entire Star Wars franchise is on my to watch list. Seems strange that it's as big as it is and I've never actually bothered to watch any of them properly. Never really captured my interest but I still feel I need to give it a try at some stage.
 
If both Shutter Island and Blood Diamond have made it there is probably ten Dicaprio movies on this list.
 
Can we not do top 50 characters next. We all know Batman's going to win.

As for this list, I think Wall-e has missed the cut. :(
 
I am glad blood diamond made it on the list. I thought I was going to be the only one who voted for it. I am shocked it was higher than Star Wars though.

Think it has more to do with how low Star Wars is rather than how high Blood Diamond is.
 
Good point BO. I'm surprised that such an iconic film is only in at 50, especially after the love that the Star Wars franchise got in the games list.

It's not the last we've seen of the Star Wars franchise as I'm sure everyone is aware.
 
Good list until Number 40. Not even sure if Shutter Island was a film really. More of a film-like thing.
 
Se7en. Thrilling. Intense. Grotesque.

Aliens. Sci-fi perfection. Had all the atmosphere and dread of the first but with the action kicked up to 11.

Memento. Fantastic, original premise that's so open ended, and gets better the more you watch it.

Jaws. Big fecking shark. Hated it when I was younger as you barely see the monster, but having seen it a few times since, the build up to the trip itself is brilliant and really nails the small seaside community vibe.
 
Memento - a wonderfully written script told in an even better way, made on a shoe string budget yet manages to captivate the imagination everytime you watch it, and possibly the biggest WTF DID I JUST WATCH ending I have seen. Nolan's best imo.
