Day 8: Japan vs. Greece

Compared to what some people have got away with in this tournament, that's a harsh second yellow.

However, the context of the World Cup shouldn't be taken into account really - it probably is a yellow card.

Sad to see Katsouranis go. Probably his last game at the big stage. He was massive in 2004 and has been a true leader since then, truly underrated footballer.

I predict late goals now. 10 men for 50 minutes, the Greeks will be shattered in the last 10-20 mins...

If Japan don't win this comfortably now then they don't deserve tongi through either.

Karagounis must be about 65 now. They'll freeze him after this tournament and defrost him out again ready for Russia 2018.

Thought he was going to headbutt him

For all of you who don't know this: Gekas, the guy who just came on and looks about 46 years old, was actually the Bundesliga topscorer in 2007 and scored 14 goals in the first half of the 2010/2011 season. So, watch out, he's dangerous :D

Just kidding.

David Moyes would do wonders for us.He seems like a genius compared to our current manager.

Having seen a replay of that first tackle - he should definitely be off. That's a horrible challenge.

At least we should get goals in the second half. The man advantage should tell eventually for Japan.

Japanese player should have fell down, we need some controversy in this game it's really boring me noe.

It wouldn't be a proper international tournament if we didn't have Greece here stinking the place out every time.

I bet Kagawa despises Manchester United.

Not sure why would that be the case and what this is supposed to mean exactly ? And anyway Well, he would ask for a move by now if that were the case.

Don't buy the excuses people come up with for Kagawa time and again at all.

He is a pretty good player, but he was never as good as sm people thought him to be.

He's an excellent player at his best and has the ability to be so much more then he is, I'm just not sure if he has the mentality for it.

I see Phil Neville's not really got the message about his commentary yet. He's still talking in the same way, only now it sounds like he's doing it while trying to hold his breath .

Kagawa has not performed well enough, he has the talent, but just hasn't stepped up. I doubt we would miss him if he left.
